.... POV
Whispers and beeping surrounded me but I tried to block them out. My head felt like it was going to burst into pieces. My body was aching in the worse of ways and my ears felt like they were going to fall off any minute. My throat felt like I swallowed flames. Trying to open my eyes hurt more than anything.
After my attempt, I felt hands touching my arms and my face. Such feelings alarmed me, causing me to panic. My heart began to race causing the beeping to appear louder and faster. Frantic movement can be heard around me. I wanted to yell for help, to get me out of this state of unawareness.
A few moments later, I was able to peak my eyes open. I saw doctors and nurses everywhere. Why was I in a hospital? Was it really my dreams tormenting me?
Or was it reality...
I saw my parents being escorted out of the room. My mother's cries and pleas echoed throughout the room making me even more fearful of why I was here.
I felt so damaged and weak. My body was going numb all entirely.
"We have to sedate her now. She might go into shock if we don't hurry!"
Flames seemed to attack my skin. Why couldn't the numbness last? Why did I have to feel this way? What did I ever do to deserve such punishment?
I felt a pinch on my arm. Dull aches coated my skin as my body began to go back into its relaxed state. A tear slipped out of my one eye until it was forced to close. My body shuddered due to the aftershocks until it went completely still.
I felt myself drift off into a deep sleep. I wish that I wouldn't wake up. I wish I would be able to become acquainted with death so that I would no longer be in the world of the unknown.
