Our second author spotlight for March is -unbestimmte, who won our Drabble Challenge during our Engagement Week "Neverland Maze" in February! Read on to know more about her favourites and her future writing below!

About her: Sadie is an avid reader, hobby writer and animal lover. Besides reading and writing, her greatest passion is acting on stage. You can also find her outside in her garden playing with her cats or going on wild adventures with her dog.

Her winning Drabble: "Warm rays of sunshine make me carefully open my eyes and rubbing my eyelids wearily, thinking about the dream I had last night about Neverland. When I had my eyes really open, it suddenly struck me that I wasn't lying in my bed, but in an unfamiliar place. I looked around confused, I've certainly never been here before, but somehow this place seemed very familiar. Suddenly I heard a rustling from outside and moments later a blinking shape sped past me, closely followed by a larger being. That couldn't be true, could it? Was that Peter Pan and Tinkerbell?"

1. What made you start writing on Wattpad?

Answer:

For me, Wattpad is a platform that allows writers to network and build a following of readers. It helps writers to find an audience for their stories, and for readers to find new up-and-coming writers to check out and follow. Wattpad offers opportunities for writers to get their art discovered and for readers to find new favorite artists. Those were the main reasons why I signed up for Wattpad. After enjoying reading the works by other talented authors, I discovered the love of writing for myself. This was the point what made me start writing on Wattpad!

2. What do you love about writing and why?

Answer:

I love writing because it allows my mind to go anywhere it wants without restrictions and it is a way to express myself in a way I might not otherwise. I love writing because I like to express my own ideas and writing them down in my own words. I love to write because it offers so much freedom.

3. If you ever had the chance to spend a day with any character from the fairytalee, who would you choose and why?

Answer:

I love the lightheartedness of childhood so much in this fairy tale. As a child, I always felt very free through Neverland and imagined such a carefree childhood there. Also, the lightheartedness before aging has always given me such familiarity. The fairy tale gave me a lot along the way during childhood and it has shaped me to the present day. That's why I love Neverland so much!

4. What do you love most about Neverland and especially around the fairytale of Peter Pan?

Answer:

Yes, I'm currently working on a new idea of mine which includes elements of Neverland. I didn't start writing yet as I first want to work on the idea a bit more. I want to build the basic framework around it before I start writing and then finish it before publishing it here on Wattpad. I am very excited to see how the idea will develop along the way as there is some freedom in this fairy tale that takes me in so many directions during planning and writing.

5. Would you like to write a complete Novel about Neverland in the future or are you planning to write one at the moment?

Answer:

I would take Peter Pan himself as he could show me around Neverland the best and it would be probably more than fun to spend a whole day with him showing me all the great places around Neverland. Close to him, I would also take Tiger Lily to go on adventures with her and fight with her against Captain Hook and his crew. I always liked it to go on adventures and this would be the best opportunity to do so!
