1. When and what made you start writing in general and then also publishing your works on Wattpad?

Answer:

I've been writing stories since I was a child and have had a lifelong dream of being a published author. I have adored books from the moment I could read and can't remember a time when I didn't want to be part of that world. I began sharing my writing on wattpad in 2014 because I wanted to start attracting an audience and bringing joy to others with my stories.

2. What do you love about writing and why?

Answer:

Writing brings me more joy than anything else in life. Getting to know new characters and their relationships, putting them through trials, exploring human emotion, is a magical thing to do and unlike anything else.

3. The setting of your book "A Pirate's Life" revolves around the setting of the series 'Once Upon A Time'. What inspired you to write a story based on this series and why did you choose it?

Answer:

I enjoyed watching once upon a time, and particularly liked the character of captain hook, because he was so different to the hook from the original story and movies - he's cocky and flirty and looks like a rock star. However I was very unhappy with the storyline that the show gave him, especially with Emma Swan. I wanted to write a story for him where he could find love and yet still be a villain. I wanted to explore his obsession with revenge and how it ultimately affects his ability to love, something which was barely touched upon in the show. I wanted to prove that this sort of storyline could be done.

4. Do you plan your books (especially those with the theme around Neverland/Once Upon A Time) carefully in advance or do you just start writing?

Answer:

I don't plan any of my books. I start with characters, thinking up personality and back story, then invent a vague beginning, middle and end, and then just write and see where it takes me. I couldn't write with a plan, as it feels too forced. I love my characters developing on their own and leading the story.

5. If you could ever experience an adventure in Neverland or in any setting of 'Once Upon A Time', how would you envision that adventure and why?

Answer:

I would like to meet Hook, because he has always intrigued me, I would love to chat to him about his obsessions and delve deeper into the psychology behind the man.
