Mysterious Developments

Mila was doing some of her homework before class started. She looked between her paper and notes in confusion, nothing made sense.

With a groan she through her head back into the lockers she was sitting against. "Geometry giving you trouble?" Mila looked up to see Shan standing in front of her. "Thats an understatement."

"I could help you if you'd like." Shan offered, sitting beside the brunette. Mila gave her a look of shock, the girl still didn't seem fond of her, Jasper, and Rhydian.

"Um, yeah. That'd be great actually." Mila finally said with a smile. "Alright, let's see what you've got."

Shan grabbed the girls notebook. "What's with all the colors?" Mila chuckled. "Greens for the things I understand, yellow is for I'm working on it, and red means I have no clue." She explained.

"I'm mostly using red." She added, making the ginger chuckle. "I can see that." Mila nodded. "I'm basically helpless in math."

The girls sat together working on the problems and Mila actually understood some of it. "Thanks again." Mila said as the girls stood from the ground.

"It's no problem." Shan assured. "I love tutoring."

As they started towards their first class they took notice of a new poster on the wall. Shan ripped one down from the wall.

Her face was photo-shopped onto the body of the wolf she had gotten a picture of, 'The Real Beast of Stoneybridge' written across the bottom.

"Are you frightened?" The voice of Jimi rang through the hallway. "It was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in my life." He laughed.

Mila glared at him, trying her best not to growl. She took the paper from Shan and balled it up.

"Mila don't-" Shan started but the girl had already thrown the paper. "What the hell?" Jimi exclaimed when he got hit in the face.

He turned to the girl with a harsh glare. "Are you crazy?" He snapped. "More then you think." She said before punching him.

Shan gasped as the boy held his nose. Mila stood over him with an intimidating stare. "Leave my friends alone, or it's gonna be worse then just a punch."

"Mila Laurent!" The voice of Jeffries shouted behind her. She winced and turned around with a smile. "Yeah?"

"Detention after school." He told her sternly. She scoffed as Jimi let out a laugh. "That's not fair. He was bullying Shan." She said, pointing to a poster.

Jeffries sighed. "Fine, detention for the both of you." He said. "Now everyone to class."

The kids started emptying from the hallway. "You're dead Laurent, dead." Jimi seethed quietly.

Mila couldn't help but laugh in his face. "Yeah, tell that to your broken nose." She smirked before walking away, Shan not far behind.

"That was amazing Mila, no one as ever stood up to him like that." Shan gushed to the brunette. "It's no big thing."

She shrugged. "Jimi's an asshole, he had it coming."

"No, I know I haven't been the most accepting. I appreciate it, really." Shan said in a sincere tone.

As soon as Mila got home she was greeted with a stern talking to.

Daniel and Emma were less than happy about her 'physical outburst' at school.
