"Walter is back in town?" Sophia questions, pretty shocked at the bomb I just dropped on her.
"Yup he showed up earlier at Kisses" I reply checking my reflection in my hand mirror to ensure that my hair and make-up is still looking flawless.
As soon as I had gotten home from work the first thing I did was take a short nap then a nice long warm bath to prep myself for the long night ahead.
I did my make-up pretty light and placed my hair into a bun. I knew I would be doing a lot of dancing and sweating tonight and the last thing I needed was for my make up to run and my long waist length hair to become all wet and plastered all over my face and arms.
"Why did he come back?"
"I have no idea"
"What did he want?"
"I really don't know babe there wasn't really much talking if you know what I mean" I giggled while making kissy faces at her but her face just remained stone cold
"Damn I'll never understand what he ever did to you to make you hate him so much" I sigh"hate doesn't look good on you"
"I'm not a hater" she protests
"Right okay sure whatever"
"I just don't like him, he gives off a bad vibe" she says not looking at me but I continue staring at her.
Her blue eyes are set on the road and her flat ironed brown hair with blonde highlights is flowing down her shoulders.
My best friend is straight up beautiful, she's like the whole package, good looking, banging body and she's smart. How could anyone not like her. She's just so darn adorable with those blue eyes of hers.
Trying to shift the mood I remind her that Walter isn't important right now.
"Whatever! Tonight is about us having fun. Not about Walter so let's turn that that frown upside down" I smile using my fingers to lift the corners of her mouth while wearing a big grin on my own face.
She turns to glare at me but finally burst out laughing after a few seconds.
"Girl get your hands off my face" she laughs, swatting away my hands while pulling up to the club.
"FIRST DRINK'S ON YOU!" I screamed jumping out of the car while running over to her college friends in my heels.
Assessing the outfit of every one I mentally give all their outfits my approval. Its 8 of us in total and each girl in the group is wearing something pink in honor of the birthday girl because it's her favorite color.
For me it's a pink floral bralette that matches the pink bow in my hair and pink pumps, that go well with my black pants and clutch.
On top of the birthday girl's head sits a pink princess crown with pink fur all around the edges and 'It's my birthday let's get drunk' written in the middle.
"let's get this party started!" Mitchy yells as soon as Sophia arrives in the group and we head inside together.
The club wasn't as packed as it would have been on a Saturday or Friday night but it had a pretty good turnout. We really didn't need a full house away all we needed was space, liquor and music.
Neon lights danced along the ceiling and walls of the new techno looking club and huge disco balls hung from the ceiling. 'The body' by Wale was currently blasting through the speakers as we made our way over to the huge illuminated bar in the center of the club.
"what can I get for you lovely ladies" the sexy bartender asks while staring directly at me
" 8 shots of vodka" I reply not breaking the stare
