We are all gifted in our own way, aren't we? But some, some of us are gifted with rare traits. Well here comes the problem though. We tend to misuse these which can destroy our life. Wait what? Is it that serious of a problem? Well the answer is yes and Raveena's story can tell you that.

Raveena, is your typical college student, studies well, is jolly, friendly and obedient but Raveena had something more than all of that. She was clairvoyant. A person who can see certain physical instances of the future as a sudden vision on occasional cases. This made Raveena extremely well known among her classmates. Let's see how Raveena's college life went by with being gifted with such an amazing parapsychological ability.

Scene 1:

On a bright Monday morning, Raveena, cheerfully arrives at her college.

Hajra: Hey Raveena!! How are ya? I tried calling you yesterday to discuss about the project but just like you had predicted, the call didn't reach you. Thank goodness you had predicted it or else I wouldn't have discussed with Alina and rather tried to get to you.

Raveena: My pleasure. It's good that my clairvoyance is of utter help at times.

Alina: Hey!! Raveena, shall we meet up tomorrow for the project?

Raveena: Oh actually, I saw that tomorrow when we come to pick you, your parents take you to church and so you know we don't get to discuss I suppose as far as I could see.

Maryam: How about day after tomorrow?

Raveena: Oh Hi Maryam. Didn't see anything regarding that so I guess we can meet day after tomorrow.

Alina, Hajra and Maryam: Cool.

Scene 2:

Math, the subject Raveena loved a lot. Raveena was smart and Math was a piece of cake for her. I know, most of you are jealous of her but can't help it.

Ms. Sudha: Raveena, can u solve this trigonometry problem?

On the board stood a complicated yet simple problem, 'tan 3x tan 2x tan x = tan 3x - tan 2x - tan x' All one had to do was not to get confused by it's complicated writing.

Raveena: Oh that's simple,

Firstly, we know that 3x=2x+x (give a pause and writes)

So now let's take tan on both sides. (Pauses and writes again)

Now we know the formula of tan [x+y] (Pauses again)

Now applying that formula, we will get to the answer. (Writes down the rest of the answer and shows it to Ms. Sudha)

Ms. Sudha: Well done, well done Raveena. Extremely well done. That was very fast.

Raveena: Thank you miss.

Ms. Sudha: Alright, first of all, it is almost time for you Boards. What have you children finally decided on. I mean you must have started to lookout for Universities right?

All students except Raveena: Yes miss.

Ms. Sudha: What about you Raveena?

Raveena: Um Mam, I haven't decided yet. I am stuck between pilot training and architecture.

Ms. Sudha: But child, you must have decided by now. Now it's getting too late for you.

Raveena: Relax miss. Am just waiting for a vision so I can make my decision.

All other students: Lucky girl!!!

Ms. Sudha: Silence please. Look her Raveena, this, this idea of yours is not bad as you are clairvoyant but see, you can't always depend on it to decide your future.

Raveena: And why can't I? Miss I really appreciate your concerns for all of us but from day one you seem to have some problem with me being clairvoyant. Are you envious of what I have? Because never have you supported my gift.

Ms. Sudha: Envious?? No dear child, I just want to help you. I really don't want to see you in any trou-

Raveena: Enough miss. I know it. No other teachers have problem with me being clairvoyant but you, you always do. I am sorry but you make me feel like a freak rather than gifted. I can't believe if you that you aren't envious. I am sorry.

Raveena leaves the classroom, slamming behind the door before Ms. Sudha could say anything.

Ms. Sudha: (muttering) But it's not like that child. I am not trying to make you look like a freak, I am just trying to warn you against what lead me to end up losing my dreams.

Scene 3:

Board exams are done and Raveena as expected, got the highest in her college and ranked at the top 10 across her state. Yet, she was still unsure on what to do. Maybe talk to Ms. Sudha, you'll say, but however, her relation to Ms. Sudha was still very soar.

A few months went by and Raveena was now all messed up, she had still not decided as she didn't get a vision. She was turning mad. Her hair was all messy due to frustration. Surprised to have learnt that Raveena hadn't joined any University, the Principal of her college, Mrs. Mishra decided to pay her a visit.

Mrs. Mishra: Oh My!! Look at the mess you have become. What's wrong dear?

Raveena: (sobs) Mam, I-I haven't decided yet. I am not getting any vision for it. It's- It's not working and like Ms. Sudha said, it's not dependable at the moment. Did she curse me to end up like this?

Mrs. Mishra: Relax. Now, she didn't. She definitely wouldn't. Because she understands your mind better than anyone else.

Raveena: What do you mean, mam?

Mrs. Mishra: Listen here, you aren't the only gifted one who was in our college. Ms. Sudha is clairvoyant too.

Raveena: WHAT?!

Mrs. Mishra: Yes, she lost her all her chances of being a pilot or a merchant navy wasting 2 entire years of her life waiting for a vision. Now then, you aren't too late. She was warning you about it all the time. Make your choice now Raveena, you aren't too late. Ms. Sudha lost her dream but you still have a chance. Make your decision by listening to your heart not your gift.

Raveena nodded as each word entered into her brain letting her know what her next step would be. Lucky for Raveena, as she was not too late, she was able to pursue Architecture, something her heart was slightly more biased to.

Raveena's story teaches us something very important. Never ever wait for future to reveal the possibilities, make your choice, do your best, accept the outcome and try to do better. Trust me you will be in a better and happier place in life.

Whether you are gifted like Raveena or not, you must always remember that you should be the one to make your decisions and you must be quick and rational if needed rather than waiting to understand how the situation shall be for your decision because then you may lose your golden opportunities.
