Chapter Three

Jillian's POV

What makes Alice so special? Why was she accepted Safine? It's not fair.

I sat at the table eating dinner with my family. I was sitting next to Sabrina as she chattered excitedly to Alice about her going to school and getting her dragon. Of course, she was going to get one of the most rare dragon species, like everyone that attends Safine. I loved my dragon though. She was my best friend besides Sabrina. She's a common Nature dragon. But powerful none the less. Her name is Sparrow. I miss her... Sabrina has a mist dragon, named... Well I always found this ironic, her name is Misty. Misty and Sparrow are really good friends.

"Jillian!" Sabrina said, snapping her fingers in front of my face. I looked around and see that everyone is staring at me.

"Are you okay?" Alice asked and I frowned at her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I pushed away from the table and stood up and walked out of the dinning room. I knew everyone was watching me as I walked away and up the stairs. I went into our room and laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I wish Sparrow was here now... She would comfort me...
