Damon was in an awful bad mood. He grumbled under his breath as he exited the cab, paying the cabbie, and walking the rest of the way on foot. Fucking traffic.

Aaron glanced at his watch, it was getting quite late.
"You should rest, Taylor. I don't know what kept Damon, but it's getting late and you're tired."
"No. I... I want to see him." His eyes were heavy with sleep but he wanted to see him. He wanted to see Damon.
Cathleen chuckled, "Stubborn as always." Taylor smiled thinly, he felt rested just by the mere presence of his friends there with him.
He jumped and almost screamed as the room's door suddenly burst open. He looked to it fearfully but it quickly vanished.
There stood his best friend. His first love.
He was handsome; his heart beat faster as he took in the sharp features. His hair was still as dark as when they were younger, a solid black. His beautiful amber eyes were locked on him and his heart inflated at the sweet gaze. He knew Damon had always had a soft spot for him, he had always gotten away out of a lot of trouble due to it. He could always count on Damon.
"Tay..." he took three large strides and suddenly he was enveloped in thick, strong arms, his breath stolen away. He shakily lifted his arms and wrapped them around his friend's thick torso, reveling in the familiar smell. He was finally at peace. With the last of his friends here he was finally comforted.
"D..." his hands clung tightly to the jacket, tears falling down his cheeks. He didn't know he had any more tears to shed.
"Tay... God, Tay..." the arms tightened around him and he loved every second of it. He buried his head against a strong shoulder and the fragrance of Damon's cologne filled his nostrils, it was calming. He fell asleep without even noticing.
"He wanted to wait for you." Cathleen smiled as she watched their reunion. Damon was laying a sleeping Taylor on the bed, but the latter wouldn't release him.
"He looks exhausted..." Damon muttered as he stroke Taylor's cheek. Aaron and Cathleen shared a knowing gaze.
"He must be... I can't even imagine what he went through those four years..." Aaron muttered, biting his lip bitterly.
"It doesn't matter. He's back, I'll keep him safe. No one will dare touch him ever again." Damon almost growled; Aaron and Cathleen smiled fondly. It felt good to see their squad mate was less tense, the disappearance of Taylor had left him with an edge and no one had dared to push him too far for fear of the consequences. They had always been aware of the boys' feelings towards each other, even worked in secret trying to get them together but... something, or rather, someone got in the way of that. They hoped that now with time Taylor would heal and both had the opportunity to explore their feelings.
"Me and Ron need to go. We're needed for debriefing I'm sure. You'll remain with him, right?" Cathleen asked with a smirk, as if she didn't know the answer...
"Of course." Damon replied curtly, sparing her a glare and a farewell.

It was late night. Damon had practically threatened the hospital staff in order to stay there with Taylor, but there was no need, Laura had already gotten permission from the higher-ups. After all, her squad was the most valued in the Institute.
