Chapter 10- Villain Dad

WARNING: This chapter contains major manga spoilers.

15 years ago...

"Wait wait wait- What?! What is that?!" Dabi asked, confused, Hawks was holding a baby.

"Whose baby is that?!"

Keigo was silent.

"Ours."

"What."

"It's our baby, Dabi."

"When was he born."

"Huh... August 8th I think?"

"...Nope."

"What do you mean 'nope'?! I can't change the birth date of a child!"

"Oh yeah? Did you even try to do so?"

"WHY WOULD I TRY TO DO THAT?! You know what? I don't even wanna know. Can you hold him for a minute? I carried this little guy for the whole day."

"No! Take him with you!"

Hawks threw him at the burnt nugget.

"OI-"

He caught him, barely, and his hero boyfriend flew away.

"So how's everything, kid? Did Bird Brain name you?"

The baby giggled, and Dabi realized how he was acting. "Oh God I'm acting like a dad."

He hadn't been like that to a child since his sister was a baby. She and his other brother were probably functional members of society, while he was a menace to it.

But at the end of the day it was all their fault. No, their father's fault.

"You better not become a hero like your dumb dad, Shina."

He sat there, dumbfounded by the great name he gave the child.

"I am an absolute genius!" He screamed, unaware of the villain behind him.

"What's that child Dabi?"

He turned around, ready to punch someone.

"Oh. Old Man."

"Hello. Let me ask again, what's that child?"

"Hawks brought him here, aparently this little guy is my son."

"Does the little guy have a name?"

"OH YEAH! I named him Shina."

"You're naming your son 'item'?"

"What? No! I'm naming him Shina."

A/N: A.F.O means 品 (shina, japanese for item/article.) While Dabi means 死名 (first one is shi which means death and the last one is na which means name.)

"Oooh~ that really fits him."

"Yeah."

Present day...

"There you are. You and I need to talk."

"Okay then... what do you have to say."

"No. What do you have to say?! I specifically told you to not be a hero!"

"Dad said it was okay!"

"Your father's a snitch! He's unreliable! He even caused the whole curse!"

"OI! That was me! Leave dad out of this!"

"OI! It was me! Leave Fuyumi out of this."

Dabi had a sudden familiar feeling, strangely swapped to another perspective.

"Plus, why do even care so much?! You yourself gave me that curse-worthy name!"

"Plus, why would you care about my burns?! You yourself gave me that curse-worthy quirk."

That feeling again. That sense of familiarity with every word his son said.

"If anything, you're the one to blame here, you picked the name, you told what I've done to A.F.O!"

"If anything, you're the one to blame here! You married mom for a super kid, you made everything worse after Perfect Boy Shoto was born!"

That's the moment he realized, he had become his father.

He walked back, getting away from his son. The only thing he could do was to send him away.

"Go. And don't come back."

"...What..?"

"You heard me."

Shina sprinted out, no words came out of his mouth.

Dabi didn't say anything either.

B e e p... b e e p...

"Shina? Everything's okay?"

"Dai, hey... huh... well, can I stay at your house tonight?"

"Sure, though I do have to warn you, the girls from school are here."

"Okay... Better than being at the bar."
