Y/N's POV

Ah 5th year, you'd think it would start getting easier after being at Hogwarts for a while. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't. Currently, I am hiding the biggest secret from my best friends Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I'm secretly dating Draco Malfoy.

Crazy I'm well aware but he's made this place a lot more bearable over the years. Even if that meant bullying me for most of it. It happened in a bittersweet way you see. I was walking by myself one night after studying late in the library when I was grabbed and dragged into a broom closet. My instincts kicked in and I pulled my wand on my captor. Turns out it was just Draco and he had some very strong feelings to let out-

"Hey Y/N, why are you sitting on the floor?" My writing came to a halt and I looked up to see my best friends since my first year walking over to me. I closed my journal and capped my ink pot. "Oh, nothing really just writing."

The boys exchanged glances, "can we see?" They asked and lunged for my book. I stood up fast enough that they fell face-first into the ground. "No! This is private information thank you very much." Hermione laughed.

"Okay, you idiots get up. We found Y/N so let's go get dinner."

~~~~That Night~~~~

I waited downstairs until all three members of the trio went upstairs to bed. I promised Draco I would meet up with him tonight near the library. He said he had something planned for our anniversary (you can choose how long you've been together) and to dress comfortably. Unfortunately, I have to sneak back upstairs to get those comfy clothes. I stayed down in the common room so I could rehearse the spells I would use so I don't wake anyone up.

I closed my charms book, placed it on the table, and grabbed my wand. Slowly, I made my way upstairs. Once at the door I cast my silencing charms and walked inside. All the curtains were drawn closed except for my own. The coast was clear for now. Quickly, I made my way to my trunk and grabbed a change of clothes. Then I sat on my bed and closed the curtains so I could change. It also gave anyone still awake the hint that everyone was now in the room.

I changed as fast as I could and snuck back out of the room closing the door quietly. I then rushed downstairs and out the portrait door to go see Draco.

Hermione's POV

I had stayed up late to finish a book when I heard the door open. At first, I thought nothing of it thinking it was just Y/N who was finally coming to bed. However, I didn't hear any footsteps. Closing my book I peeked out my curtain to find Y/N digging around in her trunk, pulling out a change of clothes, and then closing her curtains around her. Something was up.

I waited till I heard the door open and close once more before following Y/N. She was breaking school rules and I could not let that happen. Staying close behind her was hard since she was fast. The last I saw of her was her retreating out the portrait door. I wasn't going to risk being spotted by a prefect or Y/N.
