(The scene then changes to Kitana walking through the Living Forest. She looks around and then comes to a standstill)
Kitana: Show yourself, Jade. I know you're following me. Again.
(Jade walks in front of her)
Jade: Following you still. I know where you're going. I am ordered to prevent you from going there.
Kitana: And why is that?
Jade: I'd rather not question the emperor's commands. Kitana, please. Turn back.
Kitana: I cannot. This path might lead me to some truth. I'm sorry, Jade... but I will not allow you to stop me.
(They fight. While her friend is an athletic and agile warrior, Kitana's fighting skill and determination see her through the battle. Eventually Jade is beaten unconscious)
Kitana: I tried to warn you... This is something I have to do.
(She sneaks quietly onto a perch looking into the Flesh Pits. Looking around, she spots what appear to be remains of Tarkatans, their blood spilled and flesh removed. Several tubes of liquid contain unidentifiable humanoid abominations. In the middle of the room is Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.
Using their magic, they levitated the naked corpse of Skarlet above a tub filled to the brim with blood)
Kitana: What in the name of...
(She continues to look at the tubes. As her eyes focused she could clearly observe the occupant inside. It was the body of a tarkatan, though its skin was paler than any tarkatan she'd seen)
(Kitana's focus was brought back to the two Sorcerers. They began to chant a spell as the body of Skarlet descended into the tub. The green glow of souls began to surround the container)
(Kitana backs away further from her spying point, trying not to risk getting seen)
(Soon after Skarlet was fully submerged, bubbles began to surface from the blood. A hand grabs the side of the tub. Gasping, Kitana backs up. Skarlet sits up suddenly from the tub, she screamed and gasped for air, her skin noticeably a lot paler than it was before. The sorcerors stopped chanting. Skarlet grabbed her chest, inspecting the spot Scorpion kicked. Her body was fully healed, except for a few bruises which still lingered)
Skarlet: Where- am I?
(she got ready to grab Quan Chi, but when she did she noticed that the blood in the container seemed to move with her. She paused and observed as the blood zigged and zagged with her thought)
Shang Tsung: Welcome back. You were missed.
(Kitana soon realized what was happening. She hopped down from her perch to the floor of the pits)
Kitana: Shang Tsung, Quan Chi! You are hereby arrested on behalf of the emperor.
(Shang Tsung and Quan Chi look at eachother. Tsung looks amused while Quan Chi just chuckles)
Kitana: This is not a point of humor! You will be taken in for the creation of these- monstrosities.
Shang Tsung: You're right, this is no time for the comedic. But I don't think the emperor is going to mind our little.. experiment.
(Skarlet climbs out of the tub, the blood seemingly absorbing itself into Sklaret's skin. As it does the bruises on her body fade and heal)
Quan Chi(to Tsung): Thank you for including me in these affairs, but I'd best be leaving.
(Quan Chi lifts his fist glowing with soul energy. He vanishes back to the Netherrealm)
Skarlet: I can take this situation from here.
(Kitana starts to grab at her fans but is interrupted Tsung)
Shang Tsung: No. Skarlet needs time to heal, I will not have you damaging my perfect creation.
Kitana: Silence! I will drag you before Shao Kahn by your pointed beard!
Shang Tsung: Bring me to the emperor if you wish. Come, Skarlet-
(Kitana picks him up by the shirt)
Kitana: You will stand before my father and confess your deeds.
(She turns him around, shoves him forward and leaves the Flesh Pits with him. In Shao Kahn's throne room, Tsung is kneeling with two Tarkatan guards standing over him. Skarlet is behind him, now wrapped in cloth to cover herself)
Kitana: I would not disturb you, father, if this matter were not of utmost importance. I felt you should know what Shang Tsung and Quan Chi have been doing as of late. This-
Shao Kahn: Skarlet. You look Marvelous.
Kitana(angirly): This hell-hound has been taking dead warriors, operating on them, and resurrecting them! I saw dozens of mutilated Tarkatan bodies.
(Tsung smirks as kitana calls him a hell-hound)
Kitana: This kind of devilish necromancy was outlawed long ago!
(Shao Kahn stands from his throne and walks toward Shang Tsung. He looks toward Kitana, and then to Tsung... and motions with his hand that he rise)
Shao Kahn: Well done, sorcerer.
(Tsung bows his head and smiles before standing)
Kitana: You... approve? How could you? My own father endorsing-
Shao Kahn: I am your emperor! You have questioned me for the last time! Your father was a weak Edenian king. I annihilated him while merging his realm with Outworld and took his queen as my wife. If only I had not allowed Sindel to convince me of your worth...even Mileena was a failed experiment!
Kitana(to herself): you- you have lied to me my whole life
Shao Kahn: (To the guards) Escort her to the Tower. I will make an example of her.
(Two guards restrain Kitana. She kicks her way out of their grasps but is grabbed by more guards and dragged away. Shao Kahn addresses Shang Tsung once more)
Shao Kahn: Return to the Flesh Pits. Continue your trials. I will have an award ready for you and Quan Chi.
(As the Tarkatan guards escort Kitana off, Jade follows them outside of Kahn's view)
