The clear, sunny skies and warm, tropical breeze was enough to lift Yuna's spirits and invigorate her after what had been a restless night. She'd taken the first boat out that morning with Tidus. And so far the non-stop ride to Besaid had been quite pleasant.

Breathing in the salty, sea air, she smiled as the wind whipped against her face, and ruffled her hair. Besaid would always hold a special place in her heart. Not only had it been her home for most of her life, but it was also where she'd met her fiancé for the first time. It seemed like only yesterday when it'd happened. She'd just received Valefor's fayth and became a full-fledged summoner when she spotted him at the base of the temple steps. And what a sight he'd been with his wispy, flaxen locks hanging in front of those big, beautiful blue eyes, which were looking up at her almost reverently. Even now, the thought of it made her stomach flutter...or maybe that was something else.

An intense wave of nausea hit her. Yuna cupped a hand over her mouth and managed to avoid an embarrassing situation while the feeling passed. Luck was not on her side, though, and the queasiness returned. Knowing this time it would include the bagel with cream cheese she'd eaten before they'd left, Yuna had no choice but to lean over the boat's railing as the second wave rolled through her, resulting in a vile projectile emptying from her mouth into the lapping waters below.

"Whoa—you okay!?" Tidus gathered her hair away from her face and rubbed a soothing hand against her back while she continued to hurl. "Oh man... I was afraid this would happen. We should've taken the Celsius."

Was he really going there? After spitting out the remnants left inside her mouth, Yuna leaned back from the railing, and poked her tongue against the inside of her lip, trying to refrain from outright snapping at him. "This would've happened regardless of whether we were on the Celsius or not."

"Yeah... I guess you're right. Sorry."

Yuna thawed at his sincere apology. But then, she felt a pang of sadness immediately after. Tears sprang to her eyes and fell down her cheeks before she could process as to why.

"Wha—uh... What'd I do!?" Tidus gently cupped her face, prompting her to meet his concerned gaze with a loud sniffle. "Please don't cry. I said you were right. Whatever I did, I'm sorry!"

This was insane. She couldn't figure out why she was crying all of a sudden. Those blasted hormones. They had to be the cause of this. Inhaling a deep breath, she regained her composure then exhaled slowly. "It's nothing you did. It's me... I'm sorry."

"Pregnancy hormones?" he guessed in low tone, now resting his hands on her shoulders.

Wiping the tears off her cheeks, she responded with a single nod.

Tidus gave an affectionate chuckle then drew her to his chest in a loving embrace. "This is gonna be an interesting seven months, huh?"

And now, Yuna couldn't help but giggle. Interesting was one word for it.
