A new day had dawned in Luca, bringing below seasonal temperatures, rain, and Yuna's discharge papers. She'd never had to stay the night at an infirmary before—it was anything but comfortable. That blasted gurney was as stiff as a board and had caused her lower back to cramp, making any chance at rest afterward, virtually impossible. But Yuna wasn't alone in her strife. Being the dutiful fiancé, Tidus had never left her side the entire night, sacrificing the comforts of a warm bed at home for a rickety, but padded, armchair with a thin piece of cloth they'd called a blanket. Even without his normal comforts, Tidus had still managed to pass-out for a couple hours, undoubtedly from sheer exhaustion.

Despite the gloomy weather and the looming question of how Tidus would react to her pregnancy, Yuna was feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Especially, when they'd finally arrived home. She couldn't wait to take a shower and change out of her clothes from the night before. But first, she wanted to quickly look over her medication.

Hurrying into the living room, Yuna set the bag of potions onto the coffee table then curled up on the leather sectional to read the pamphlet of instructions. From what she'd read, her vitamins were pretty straight forward. The anxiety potion was a different story though—a teaspoon full, once in the evening or as needed. So, she had to take this, even if she felt fine?

Sudden movement on the cushions jarred her from her thoughts. Tidus had plopped down next to her and began rummaging through the contents of the bag.

"What's all this stuff for anyway?"

Yuna gasped and snatched the cloth sack out of his hands, earning her a disapproving glare. Afraid he may learn of her condition before she had a chance to tell him, Yuna clutched the bag against her chest, and tried to think of an excuse for her behavior that Tidus would buy. Unfortunately, nothing came to mind. Her fiancé was very perceptive and she'd already reacted rather dramatically to his curious nature.

"It's my...medication."

"I kinda figured that." His blue eyes bore into hers as if she'd committed a crime. "You promised to tell me everything once we got home. Well, we're home, Yuna. No more secrets."

This wasn't the way she'd wanted to reveal her pregnancy to him. Even if she were to limit what she disclosed to only the side-effects of the drug, he'd know she was holding something back. It was as if he'd made it a point to study her behavior since he'd returned—that or maybe she wasn't as good at concealing things as she'd liked to believe.

"You're right, I promised."

After letting out a long breath, Yuna set the bag of potions back onto the table then explained to her fiancé about the possible hallucinations, and the anxiety she may experience from the Euphoria she'd ingested.

Tidus sat quietly while she spoke, absorbing all the information, that is, until she paused, hesitant to inform him of her other condition.

"So far, it doesn't seem so bad." He leaned back against the black cushions and folded his arms over his chest. "I know there's more to it though. So spill it."

In all honesty, Yuna had never discussed the prospect of children with Tidus before. Mainly, because she was afraid it may never be possible and she didn't want to make him feel inferior. But now, it was no longer a question of whether they could conceive a child or not—one was already on the way. And she wasn't sure how her fiancé would react to being a father at the young age of twenty. After all, he'd just started his busy career with the Aurochs. Yuna's stomach dropped, mindful of her own predicament. She was supposed to tour later in the summer. That wasn't going to happen now, either.
