Folding your arms over your chest, you silently brooded over the fact that Eren was refusing to talk to you. Your lips pushed out into a pout that, the boy besides you blatantly ignored. His fist was right over the wheel, tanned skin stretched into a white knuckled grip. The radio blared out the tune to rock song that you had never heard of but you caught Eren's fingers, that hovered over the gearbox, tap along to the beat. What had you even done wrong?

"Don't feel like talking?" You muttered, keeping your eyes trained on the outdoors.

You had rolled the window down and the light evening breeze was helping diffuse the simmering, unspoken tension between the pair of you. Just the slightest bit, anyway. Trying your best to ignore the unfairly tantalizing action, you couldn't help but sneak a peek over at Eren who had removed his attention on the road to study you. His teal eyes cut into you with a begrudging glare.

"I don't understand why you had to get involved. I wanted to keep you out of this." He scowled.

You rolled your eyes turning to him and forgetting all about your silent temper tantrum.

"Well that's funny because considering the fact you picked me up from school and brought me over here is definitely you trying to keep me away from all of this." You replied unable to keep the sarcasm out of your voice.

His nostrils flared as you spoke the words but you refused to take them back. Once again, the pair of you fell into another lapse of silence. Why was he so mad? I the rear view mirror, you caught sight of Annie's car tailgating behind with Porco and Bertholdt carpooling with her. You had no idea what this meeting was going to accumulate to but the nervous excitement bubbling up inside of you made everything more interesting.

You never considered yourself as one for a flare for danger but something about Eren just made things all the more worth while. You gasped as you felt his warm, calloused hand take yours. There was no evident change in his face, it was like the action didn't even matter to him. But as you looked down at your intertwined hands, fitting together perfectly over the gearbox, you felt...To be frank, you had no idea how you felt. All you knew was that it felt good. Too good to be right but too good to be wrong.

"I didn't mean to. I just...wanted to get to know you. We still don't know all that much about each other but we've kissed. I've gotten to know your lips before I even know all that much about you. I feel like I'm being selfish." He admitted, softly, almost too quiet for you to hear.

Brushing your thumb against the back of his hand, you debated over your next words.

"Neither of us are going to die any time soon. What's the rush? We can get to know each other more. Aren't  these things supposed take time?" You whispered.
