REESE HAD GROWN up in a healthy household. Her mother was loving, making sure she was okay, checking up on her, and making sure she ate and drank. She loved her more than anyone.
No, that was a stretch, she loved her mother and her father more than anything in the universe. They didn't live on earth, they lived on the ark; a space station holding what was left of the human race after an apocalypse on earth that happened ninety-seven years ago. Pretty crazy.
