December 23rd || Around 12pm

"What you got me for Christmas?" You asked Kel. "Girl, you have two days to find out. Relax, I got you something good." Kel told you on FaceTime. You and Kel had been talking for about three months. He confessed to you in October. You really liked him. He was a gentleman, and he was funny. There were more pros than cons and your parents loved him.

"Y/n! I need you to come to the store with me." Your dad tells you. Your parents got back together, but they finally told you at the beginning of the month. "I gotta go, Kel." You got up. "Alright, bye." He kissed you through the phone and you hung up cheesing. "Look at you just cheesing." You dad smiled a lil. "Stop." You laughed and puts your slides on. You grabbed put your hoodie on along with you crossbody and followed your dad out to the car.

"Why we going to the store this close to Christmas?" You finally asked. "Your mother sent me on the grocery run for Christmas dinner." He showed you a really long list. "Oh no." You looked at it. "And I dragged you along with me." He laughed. "Oh my god." You groaned "She got us going to five different stores across town." Your dad just nodded. It was gonna be a long trip just for groceries.

8pm || Back at home

"I love y'all." Your mom smiled watching y'all unload the groceries. "We love you too, Ma." Your said as you felt like your arms were going to fall off carrying all of those groceries. Your mom put the groceries away because she has very specific ways of how she likes things organized. You and your dad thought it was weird, but it didn't bother y'all that much. "I got the rest." Your dad dismissed you once you came back to the car. "Alright." You huffed and went into the house.

You went upstairs in your room and sat on your phone. You scrolled through Instagram until you seen a post. Bokuto's post. Pictures of him and his....girlfriend? You stared at the post for a while. You don't know what you felt. Was it jealousy? Shock? Who knows? You quickly scrolled past it remembering your conversation with him months ago. Him basically being done chasing you.

Bokuto's House ||

Bokuto laid in his bed looking up at his ceiling. "I miss her." He thought. He wasn't thinking about his girlfriend, Bree though. He thought of you. He missed you as a friend. Not talking to you for this long time was slowly but surely killing Jim inside. He needed to talk to you, but he made it awkward (SZA reference 😯) . Sometimes he'd hope you'd text him, but from what he's seen you're happy and in love with Kel.

When he sees you with Kel he's filled with rage and sadness. The jealousy he feels seeing you and him together is unbearable. It may seem cruel but he doesn't really care for Bree. He just hoped you seeing him with her would get you to come back to him.

Bree was the cheer captain, their relationship was like the power couple in every teenage movie. Bree was stuck-up, selfish, spoiled, judgmental, and flat out mean. You were the exact opposite. Bokuto wanted to act happy with Bree but she's a terrible person with no personality whatsoever. Bokuto and Bree barely liked each other they just gave in to people shipping them together and trying to set them up together.

All Bokuto thought and talked about with Bree was you and the memories of your friendship. You're all he wanted, although you thought he stopped chasing you he never did. He wasn't going to stop until you seen how in love he is with you.

December 24th || 2pm

You were in your room getting ready to see Kel. He set up a date to go ice skating. Both of you have never been, so it should be interesting.

You wore this:

You didn't wanna do too much because you were going ice skating, it wasn't anything too fancy

You didn't wanna do too much because you were going ice skating, it wasn't anything too fancy. Plus you wanted to be comfortable for the walk to the ice skating rink. "Kel's here for you y/n." Your mom came in your room. "Okay, I'll be down in a second." You added your final touches and spayed yourself with perfume.

You then sprinted downstairs excitedly. "Don't fall." Kel watched you as you ran downstairs to him. "Hi Kel." You smiled as he pulled you in for a hug. "Hey y/n." He smiled down at you. "Keep my daughter safe out there." Your dad told him. "I will sir." Kel shook your dad's hand then you both were off.

The walk wasn't as bad as you thought it'd be. It went faster with Kel's company. He knew all the right words to make you smile. Nothing could stop you from cheesing, that is until you seen Bokuto and Bree as soon as y'all walked into the rink.

You and Bokuto locked eyes then quickly looked back at your partners. "What size skate you need?" Kel asked. "*insert shoe size*" you told him. He handed you your skates and then got his. He rented a locker to put both of your shoes and phones in so they wouldn't get broken or stolen (side note: I busted my phone from rollerskating like two years ago cus I had it in my back pocket and I fell on my butt). You expected Kel to help you out your skates on, but he didn't. Maybe, that was something only Bokuto would do for you. You shook the thought of him out of your head then focused on putting your skates on.

As soon as you both got on the ice y'all were slipping and sliding trying to hold each other up. "If you fall I'm falling." Kel laughed watching you struggle. "Shush." You pulled yourself up and started trying to skate. Kel held your hand tight. "Just like rollerskating they said." Kel says. "This isn't anything like rollerskating, at all." You cautiously skated around. "Rollerblading maybe." He shrugged.

After a few minutes you got a little confident and thought you had the hang of it until you fell over. Kel fell right beside you on his butt. "See, you thought you had it." He shook his head after warning you. "Shut up." You looked at him. He was looking so good at that moment. His lips juicy and soft looking, his nice smile. He just looked so good, you leaned into him a little. "You're so beautiful." He said holding your face in his hands then kissing your lips. It was your first kiss ever, but you followed his lead. Here he was kissing you right on the ice.

Bokuto stared at the two of you. "Bokuto!" Bree yelled. "Huh?" He looked back at her. "Pay for the food, idiot." She grumbled. "My bad." He paid for the food then looked back at the ice to see Kel helping you up. "What the fuck are you looking at?" Bree raised an eyebrow. "Nothing." He took the food over to the table. "I don't know what's going on with you but you don't pay attention to me, or call me pretty. I know you don't like me but at least act like a decent fucking boyfriend." She rolled her eyes and snatched the food. "Bree, I'm sorry." He sighed. "Mhm." She got on her phone.

Bokuto was distracted in his thoughts. Trying to plan on how to come up to you. He felt like this was his chance to finally rekindle your friendship. "I gotta go to the bathroom." He lied. "Why are you telling me?" Bree says. He nodded and walked away to find you. He looked at where he last seen you and you weren't there. He looked around the place and seen you standing alone at the arcade area.

Bokuto got nervous, but before he could walk away you looked up at him. He walked over to you as you waited for Kel. "Hey y/n." He said. "Hi Bokuto." You said looking confused. "I haven't seen you in a while, how are you?" He asks. "I'm good, how are you?" You ask. "I'm okay." He responds. He paused for a moment and spoke again. "Actually I've been thinking about you a lot lately, but in a weird way or anything. I've just been worried about you." He says. "Why?" You ask. "Because we haven't talked in forever. I was hoping we could be friends again actually." He looks you in your eyes. "I miss our friendship, y/n. You were the first friend I made when I came to the states." He confessed. "I'm not gonna lie, I missed having you as my best friend too." You smiled a little. "So we're cool again?" He asked. "We never weren't cool, you know you could've texted if you needed anything." You punched his side lightly. "Yeah, I'll talk to you later then." He pushed your shoulder gently. "Don't get fucked up now, but aight." You say. "Later." He walked away.

Bokuto walked away with the biggest grin on his face but as soon as he got 10 feet from Bree he had to wipe it off. "What took you so long?" She asked. He was about to speak, but she shushed him. "Actually I don't wanna know." She drank her slushy. "Of course you don't." He thought.

You were happy to be officially back friends with Bokuto, but you wanted it to be strictly platonic, since you had a boyfriend. Talking to Bokuto gave you back those tingly feelings you used to get for him though, but you knew how to shut them off. Or could they even be shut off this time?
