It's been 2 weeks since I came home from the road trip and all of Jennie's things are gone. The first night I just sat in her empty room and wished that somehow this was all a bad dream.
I finally had her and she loved me and then Nancy showed up and it all blew up. I am still racking my brains on how that happened. I used protection with her every time. Even the last one when she claimed that I got her pregnant.
I hear a knock on the door and I get up and go to open it, praying maybe it's Jennie. I open up the door and it's the last person I want to see.
"Hey baby," Nancy says throwing her arms around me.
"Hi," I say to her forcing a smile.
"I just thought I would come by and drop some of my stuff off since I'll be moving in here with you," she says.
"Nancy, we haven't really talked about this at all," I say blocking her.
"You said you wanted this to work for our little peanut, so I just figured that meant us living under the same roof," she says looking at me all sad.
"Fine," I say letting her come in. She lets me know there are boxes in her car that need to be brought in and I head down to grab them.
I finally bring up the last one and sit down on the couch. Nancy comes over and sits beside me. "I told you Lisa, we are meant to be and now you and I are going to be the best parents," she says putting her head on my shoulder.
A knock on the door startles me and I get up to get it. I open the door and see the person who I have been wanting to see for 2 weeks.
"Jen," I say smiling for real for the first time since everything blew up.
"Hi, I was wondering if you weren't busy if we could maybe talk?," she asks biting her lip.
I go to say sure, but I am cut off by Nancy, "Janice, what are you doing here? Did you forget that you don't live here anymore?"
"No I just wanted to talk to Lisa," she says.
"Well sweetie she is a little tired from moving all my boxes into this condo. You know your old room is going to make the cutest nursery," she says giving Jennie a smirk.
"Oh you moved in already, well congratulations to you both. I am sorry to have interrupted," she says quickly turning around and heading out.
"I want you to tell security not to let her in the building anymore. She makes me nervous," she says holding me arm.
"No, she is my friend and she would never hurt anyone," I say.
"I don't care Lisa, I want to feel safe since I'm living here now."
I need to get away from Nancy for a while. I grab my coat and slip on my shoes. "Where are you going?", Nancy asks.
"Out, I need to go for a walk or something," I say slamming the door. I head down to the lobby and talk with the head of security and explain that under no circumstances is Jennie to be turned away.
I walk out the door and my phone rings, "Fuck what now?" I say.
"Hello," I pick up the phone.
"Lalisa Pranpriya Manoban, don't ever speak to me in that tone again," I hear my mom say.
"Sorry mom, it's just been a hectic day," I say.
"Why did Dara call me and say Jennie moved out 2 weeks ago? I thought you two were finally together?"
"We were mom, something happened and I don't think I can fix this," I say.
"What happened?" she asks all concerned.
