It's been 2 long months since my life got turned upside down. I mean it's not like I wasn't used to living alone. Lisa was only home for short periods of time throughout the season, but I didn't realise how much I looked forward to having her being at home when she was.

I ran into Lisa's mom about a month ago in the elevator and she convinced me to show her my new place. I was so hesitant about that as I really didn't want Lisa knowing which condo was mine, but she promised not to tell her.

We had a good long talk and she told me that she didn't know how or when, but Lisa and I would find our way back to one another. I knew if that happened it would only be as friends, if that, because I know how Lisa is and she would stay for her child. I told her mom I was sure Nancy would do everything in her power to make sure that Lisa and I weren't even friends.

She confessed to me that she does not like Nancy, but she is being civil and cordial for the sake of her unborn grandchild. I smiled and understood the position she was in.

She told me though I would always be a welcome member of the Manoban family. I was like her other child. I gave her a hug and cried a little more. When she finally left, my emotions were everywhere, so I went to bed and decided to start afresh in the morning.

So here we are present day and it's like any other day that I have been going through these last 2 months. I head out to go to work and am waiting for the elevator. It opens up and there is the happy couple. I look at them and Lisa smiles at me and Nancy just scowls.

"I'll grab the next one," I say backing out.

"Jen, please don't be like that. We can all be civil for an elevator ride right?" she says looking at Nancy.

"I don't have a problem with it baby," Nancy says while linking her arm with Lisa's.

I step in and try to stand as far away as possible. Not saying a word just praying this goes fast.

"How are you doing?" Lisa asks me looking at me.

"Fine," I say smiling a little.

"Well Janice, we are off to our doctor's appointment, to get another cute picture of our little peanut," Nancy says showing me her baby bump.

Well that just dashed any of my hope that she was faking this pregnancy.

"It's Jennie, for the last time Nancy," Lisa says trying not to get upset.

"Like it matters. She should have moved out of the building instead of pathetically sticking around," she says looking at me.

"Well so much for being civil," I murmur to myself.

I just keep quiet, not really in the mood to get into a fight with this bitch in the elevator. I just look at the elevator display praying it reaches the ground floor soon, because my heart is slowly breaking again.

The bell finally dings and I rush to get out first and head to the lobby doors. I hear foot steps behind me and someone touches my elbow.

"I am sorry for all that unnecessary drama in the elevator. It's the hormones," Lisa says.

"Sure it's fine," I say just wanting to get away from them. Turning to head to work.

"Why don't you come by for dinner?" Lisa says with a smile and hope that I will say yes.

"No thanks. I really don't think that is a good idea and I know you don't think it's a good one either, but I appreciate you trying," walking out of the building as fast as my legs will carry me.

I get to the office and walk by Yeri into my office and shut the door. Sitting down in my chair I try so hard to compose myself. Wanting so badly just to feel normal again and not so sad every time I think of Lisa.
