A/N: This chapter will be written in third person's point of view. Probably the only chapter I'll do like this, I'm just testing it out.

The Mating Game
Chapter Two
"So how did this one go?" Howl asked, feet perched up on his desk as he casually looked at his fingernails.
Howl's partner couldn't help but to furrow his eyebrows at Howl's nonchalant attitude; of course he was calm. He wasn't the one who'd just gotten mauled with acrylic nails and pummeled with a five inch stiletto.
"She didn't turn, she sure did put up one hell of a fight though. I'm not sure if she's half cat or wolf." He chuckled.
Howl only smirked at this, seemingly uninterested in the girls who were arriving at his home. In fact, he'd much rather they not be there at all. He'd spent a lifetime of having women fawn over him all of them with the intention of mating him. He wasn't all that ecstatic about finally being forced into mating. He had bigger things he aimed to achieve.
"I let her stay though, only because she tried so hard."
Howl just nodded his head and then with a sigh responded, "A car is pulling up."
At first he didn't hear it but a few seconds later he heard the crunch of gravel as a car pulled to the front of the mansion. Howl's senses were advance; more so than a normal wolf's would be. It never ceased to amaze him.
As he turned to go 'greet' the new guest he was stopped by Howl's commanding voice.
"Oh and Dylan, don't hold back." Howl said as his Beta exited his office. Howl sat up straight and rolled his chair to the large window in his office that overlooked the front of the mansion. He supposed if Dylan was going to get clawed he might as well enjoy the spectacle at his expense.
-.-.—.-.-.-.-.-..-.
"This place is beautiful." Ferra exclaimed pressing her face against the car window excitedly. The beautiful landscape was one of awe. The luscious green giants standing from thick brown stems that covered the snake path leading to the mansion was quite a sight. That combined with the beds of flowers, rich with color and variety that would make any woman swoon.
As much as Bailey yearned to be as excited as Ferra she couldn't help but feel tense and uncomfortable. She was in a unknown territory without any of her pack members and far away from her father whom she didn't trust alone in his own sorrow.
Ferra seemed to sense her friend's discomfort and gently placed her hand over Bailey's balled fist; giving it a slight squeeze of encouragement.
"It'll be okay, Bails...You got this. I don't know anyone stronger than you."
