The Mating GameChapter Four
My face was ringing.
She hit hard; so hard my head flew back and my lip began bleeding slightly.
Come on, what's going on Bailey. Get it together.
I dodged another swift punch made by Ann; I could feel the sweat beads beginning to build on my nose and my face turning red.
She was coming at me like a firecracker. The moment I stepped in front of her she was on me like white on rice; she was sending one punch after another. No time was wasted trying to take me down and this irritated me sufficiently. I hated being on the defense on a constant in a fight. I was usually the person on offense. I was the one charging my opponent with power moves; I could hardly remember not being the aggressor. It was always easier to be the aggressor when I fought.
"I love this cat and mouse game." Ann laughed as she kicked her foot out in hope to knock me off my feet. She was going for the gusto with her attempts to pin me. In fact her moves read desperation. She wanted this to be a quick fight, but I was too good at dodging her moves.
There was a slight pause when she was coming out her kick stance and in that moment whilst one leg was still slightly raised I kicked out , repeating the same move she tried on me, and knocked her down on to the ground.
I would have pinned her in that moment because I had the opportunity; she was stunned with her mouth hanging open, but I didn't. Instead I just stared at her waiting for her to get back on her feet. I wasn't looking for an easy defeat. I was too angry about my busted lip to let her leave the fight unscarred.
Ann realized this and quickly jumped to her feet. As soon as she was standing I charged her sending one punch after another. It was at this moment that I realized why she was quick to be the aggressor. She ate almost every single one of the punches I sent her way. I felt like I'd just perfected the best combo in mortal combat as her face moved from side to side with each punch. It wasn't until I drew blood that I backed off.
Talk about horrible defense.
Her nose was bleeding. I wanted to feel bad, but I didn't.
We're Even.
She angrily wiped the blood from her nose saying, "Now you've done it bitch"
She charged me so quick I wasn't even able to block her onslaught. Instead I fell to the ground with her on top of me and she started to throw punches wildly. One of them caught me in the eye, but the rest I managed to block as I threw my arms over my face. She stopped punching and started to attempt pinning my arms down.
"Ten, nine." Ryder started his count down.
I managed to wrap my hands around her neck and begin choking her. I was desperate not to lose.
She returned the favor though and wrapped hers around mine.
We were both gasping for air.
"Eight, seven, six"
Choking her wasn't making her budge off of me so I dropped my arms and began bucking beneath her in hope to get her off of me, but that wasn't working she just kept a firm grip on my neck. I punched her in the face with all the strength I could muster and she released my neck as her head snapped back from the force of the hit.
"So what you lost bitch." Ann growled as she dodged another hit I sent.
"Five, four, three, two, one." Ryder counted down and at one Ann hopped off of me with a victorious look upon her face.
