Twilight's last Gleaming

Octavia's Pov:

I was sitting by the campfire eating some left over panther from the other night, when everyone heard a loud crash in the atmosphere. We all turned to see what it was, it looked like a drop ship or supply drop. All I knew is that it came from the Ark and that we should go check it out before the grounders get to it.

I ran over to Bellamy's tent to tell him, he told everyone to wait till morning, I fought him on it but he wasn't lenient. As if that was going to stop me though, I don't take orders from him, I don't take orders from anyone.

I ran off into the woods in the direction of the crash, because no way in hell was I risking one of the grounders getting whatever they sent down.

I thought I had gotten lost for a moment, then I saw smoke in the distance and ran towards it.
I stood at the opening made by the drop ship in the trees, I studied the areas before running over to check it out. I tried to open the door, I had to pull pretty hard before I heard a click and managed to open it.

When I looked inside I was expecting food or blankets but instead I saw a girl. I found myself studying the girl when I heard a soft "Hi", I looked up to see her now awake staring at me. I stood there with my mouth slightly hung open until I swallowed it and realised she spoke, "Hi" I replied, "I'm Octavia".

The Girl smiled and told me her name was Raven, it's a pretty name. She then grew a huge smile and asked whether she had made it, that's when I replied and welcomed her to earth. I did wonder, why did the ark send her down?

I watched her get out of the drop ship and spin around looking up at the sky, it reminded me of when we first landed and how excited everyone was, it was an innocence we'd never feel again. "is this rain?" she turned and looked at me pointing up at the sky, small droplets of water landing on the both of us.
I laughed and told her it was, that's when I noticed the massive hit she took to the head, there was blood dripping all over her face. "you're bleeding, let me help" I said as I raised my hand to her face.

I walked her over to a nearby rock and sat her down to check out her head, I'm no doctor but I watched Clarke helping Jasper and picked up a few things.
Raven kept insisting that she was fine, she's stubborn but it's cute. I know she's excited to be on earth though so I stood up and volunteered to take her for a walk around the area near camp and to the butterfly field. Raven sprung up, showing her head really wasn't bothering her.

As we walked Raven spotted a bush full of flowers, she ran over and picked one, she quickly hurried back looking at the flower intrigued, she then turned and placed it behind my ear.

We continued and Raven started telling me about why she had come to earth, then she stood dead in her tracks, "The radio! We have to warn them, come on" She proceeded to grab my hand and drag me back to the drop ship to find the radio. "it's gone" She said wandering about mumbling things to herself which I couldn't quite catch. I was about to help her look when I heard Finn call her name. I turned round to see Clarke and Finn running up to us, Raven turned to Finn and kissed him. I did not expect that, although I suppose it didn't come as a surprise that girl was taken, I mean look at her, plus she built the whole drop ship from scratch! I looked over at a disappointed Clarke knowing she and Finn had a thing.

Clarke said she knew who took the radio and we ran off into the woods following her, turns out it was Bellamy who had taken the radio. He had told me earlier that he shot Jaha and that they will kill him if they come down. Raven and Bellamy were squabbling and then he shoved her up against a tree to which she pulled a knife on him. Damn now this girl is badass too? We went back to camp and got everyone to search the lake for the radio. I walked up and looked around the hill, I maybe got distracted by some butterflies but no one needs to know the details. I was walking along a ridge when I tripped over a rock and stumbled down the steep hill and hit my head on a rock, everything was black from there.

I woke up on the ground and remembered that I had fell. I must have been out for hours because by the time I woke up it was dark. I rolled over to get up and saw a grounder standing right over me.
