His sisters Keeper

Raven's Pov:

We got a group of people to search the lake for the radio Bellamy chucked in. Someone called over and said they found it, but it's pointless now, at least for another day because the components need to dry. Clarke started yelling at Bellamy because now 300 people were going to die on the ark, then it hit me, we don't need to speak to the ark, we just need to let them know we are down here.

We started preparing 3 flares to send up into the atmosphere, which if my calculations are correct, and they are, the ark will see them. It had gotten dark by the time we were done, now we just need to fire them. I tried to look around for Octavia because I hadn't seen her since the dropship. I was sure she would have liked watching the flares, but I figured she was having an early night and went back to her tent.

I found Finn instead and we stood watching the Flares, it was surprisingly pretty, I just hope that they reach the ark in time. I looked over to see Clarke staring at me, I shot her a smile, and she gave one back. I don't know what it is but something seems off about her, maybe she's just not good with new people? I'll figure it out though.

A couple of hours after the flares, I was talking to Finn in his tent when Bellamy stormed in looking for Octavia. I should have said something when I noticed she was missing, stupid. I got out the tent and ran after Bellamy who had already moved onto another tent. I called out to him and asked what happened, he told me he can't find Octavia anywhere and I told him that we should have a search party. I have a terrible feeling something bad happened to Octavia and I can't help but feel like it's my fault. She only left camp to see what my drop ship was.

Bellamy had called a large group together to go find Octavia, Finn told me to stay and fix the radio, but like I said it needs a day to dry out and there is no way I'm not going out to find Octavia.

We left camp and some guy called us over to a steep hill asking if what looked like a belt in a bush further down was Octavia's. Bellamy asked for a rope and slid down to check, I followed after him, Jasper behind me. Bellamy confirmed it was Octavia's Belt then found blood on a rock further down. Finn said that they took her and someone was carrying her because the footsteps got deeper.

We followed the footprints to a creepy entrance, it had skeletons hung up, not exactly my idea of friendly. The majority of the group went back leaving just a few of us. Once we had gotten quite far in a girl mentioned Mbege was missing, then he fell from a tree with his throat slit. We looked around and there were grounders everywhere, the only thing we could think to do was run. I tripped over a rock as I was running and the grounders didn't seem to notice my absence as they continued following the group. I used this to my advantage and ran off without them, I know it's a stupid idea but was I going to find Octavia being chased by grounders? no.

Octavia's Pov:

I woke up in some dark cave, I looked around and tried to get up but my leg was killing me, I looked down to see my bone sticking out. I saw a light further down the cave so I tried to get up and run back to the wall unsuccessfully. My leg hurt so much that I fell to the ground in pain. The grounder came in holding a knife and I begged him not to hurt me, next thing I know he was holding me down and pointing the knife at me.

When I woke up again my leg was fixed, I stood up and looked around. I spotted an opening in the gridded roof, I tried to pull myself out of it or break through it but I had no luck. I picked up a stick or a large bone for protection and continued walking through the cave, I started picking at the moss on the wall until I spotted an opening in the rocks. I started pulling the rocks out of the way to make a gap large enough for me to squeeze through. I kept telling myself "I'm not afraid", it's something I used to tell myself whenever there were surprise inspections on the ark.

I managed to escape the cave and run off into the woods when suddenly someone ran into me causing me to crash into the ground. I looked up to see Raven on top of me, she grabbed my face and examined me then she pulled me into a hug. She asked me if I was okay and what had happened, I told her I tripped and a grounder helped me. She then told me that there was a group of grounders chasing the rest of them and killed mbege.

We sat up after we heard screaming, we looked forward to see Roma running, then a spear getting thrown at her pinning her to a tree. I gasped and Raven wince. I turned to face her when suddenly a hand wrapped itself around both of our mouths and held us in a tight grip. The grounder picked up both of us and threw us over his shoulder. Raven looked at me as if to ask whether this is the grounder that helped me and I nodded. We didn't fight him when he carried us away because we figured it was either that or get speared to the chest like Roma.

He took us back to his cave and I started asking him a bunch of questions and then I noticed he was chaining up Raven. I yelled at him to stop and then he started chaining me up with her.

Once the grounder left the cave I crawled over to raven and asked her if she was okay, to which she nodded and returned the question. Being locked up together wasn't too bad, we got to know each other. I told Raven about my life on the ark and how I had to hide under the floor, that Bellamy took care of me, how I got arrested and put in lockup. Raven said she wasn't at the party because she had to work on something at the ark. She told me about how Finn took care of her and that her mother probably only had her to trade in her rations for alcohol.

I heard the grounder come back so I crawled back over to where I was and picked up a rock. When the grounder came closer to me I turned around and hit him with the rock twice in the head, That knocked him out pretty good. I picked up his keys and unlocked my chain, then I moved over to Raven and started unlocking hers when I heard someone else coming. I finished letting Raven out then we sat there in case it was another grounder coming. It wasn't. It was Bellamy, Finn, Jasper and Monroe, Finn ran over to Raven and Bellamy ran over to me. I said that we should get out of here before the grounder woke up but Bellamy was insistent that they kidnapped him for questioning. Raven and I begged them to leave, while Finn was doing something the grounder woke up and stabbed Finn, Bellamy knocked him out again, picked up Finn and we ran back to camp.
