Contents Under Pressure

Ravens Pov:

We got back to the camp just in time, because a  storm had begun. Bellamy said it was going to get a lot worse and ordered everyone inside the drop ship.
I had managed to set the radio up before we left to find Octavia, what I didn't realise though, was that one of the batteries had fallen out. Clarke seemed annoyed but she took a deep breath and asked if the radio would work without it, it won't. She paused for a second and then told me to go to a bunker in the woods she had found a few days ago. I nodded then Octavia walked up with some water, Clarke looked at her and said "Octavia can go with you"

Octavia looked up at her name being called and asked what was going on. Clarke filled her in and said that no one was leaving the camp alone, she also added this was only my second day on the ground and Octavia knows her way around here. Clarke drew out a map for us and said it was close to Raven's drop ship.

Next thing I knew Octavia and I were walking through the dark woods with danger lurking at every corner. It was quiet at first, only the loud sound of the rain and thunder. It didn't drown out my thoughts though, I kept thinking, wondering whether Finn would be in this position if I hadn't gone to find Octavia. Octavia looked at me and took a hold of my hand and smiled weakly, she must have noticed something was up. "What if he dies? and it's my fault"

Octavia turned and looked at me confused, she told me that he won't die, paused and asked why I thought it would be my fault. I told her that if I had stayed back and worked on the radio like Clarke asked her to, we would have a radio to contact the ark and help Finn. Octavia stopped me and looked into my eyes, "Raven. Finn isn't going to die and isn't your fault. If you didn't leave to find me, I'd be dead right now."

I looked at her and began to say that she didn't need me there, that Bellamy, Finn and the others found her without the help of me. She said that if I hadn't ran into her, she would have gotten speared in the chest like Roma. I couldn't tell whether I was crying or if I was just the rain dripping down my face but I nodded, She squeezed my hand tighter and said "Raven you saved my life".

We continued walking until we found the bunker, Octavia found some matches and lit a few candles so we could see better. As we were looking for something that might be battery-powered, I spotted a little 2 headed deer made out of metal. I laughed and picked it up, I turned and told Octavia that Finn had made one just like it for me. Octavia walked over to see it, she smiled and told me that when they first landed the first animal they saw was a 2 headed deer.

As we continued to search Octavia started laughing, I turned and asked her what was so funny. She said that when they first landed she told Clarke to back off Finn because he was "hers", she started laughing again and said little did she know he had an even hotter girlfriend. It didn't bother me that Octavia liked Finn at first because it's obvious she doesn't anymore, besides I'm more focused on the "hotter girlfriend" part. Does Octavia think I'm hot? I mean yeah of course she does, I'm hot as fuck. I gave her a small smile and then I noticed a remote control car behind her. We turned it around and took the batteries out, the trip back was quiet, mainly because I was stressed for Finn and was rushing to get back.

Once we got back Clarke was gone and Finn was seizing in the middle of the room. Octavia ran to find Clarke as I ran to Finn. Turns out there was poison on the knife the grounder stabbed Finn with and Clarke was trying to get the antidote. When Clarke came down she told me to fix the damn radio. Octavia stayed by my side and tried to help.

Once I got the radio working some kid had the audacity to ask if I had the right frequency. I repeated "calling ark station" for what seemed like forever. When someone finally answered I felt myself and the rest of the room breathe again. They asked to Identify myself and I did, it felt surreal to say that I'm transmitting from the ground. I heard Abby speak over the radio and looked at Clarke to talk to her mum. She told her Finn was dying and that we needed her help.

Octavia came running downstairs with the antidote in her hand and gave it to Clarke, I noticed she had a large cut on her arm, I gently lifted it and asked what happened, she told me not to worry about it, Finn was important right now and went back upstairs.

I watched Clarke give him the antidote just as the radio started to break up because of the storm and we couldn't hear what Abby was saying, it patched in and out. I tried to help Clarke as best we could but the room began to get restless so Clarke told me to empty the room. I watched her pull the knife out and then there was a loud crash that rattled the drop ship causing Finn to fall to the floor.

I was scared that the knife had ripped through his skin or something bad, but Clarke managed to successfully do it. She continued to stitch him up, when she was finished I sat downstairs with him until he woke up, and eventually I fell asleep.

Octavia's Pov:

When Raven and I got back to the drop ship I went upstairs to find Clarke, with her I saw Bellamy torturing the grounder who saved my life. I ran up to try and stop him, and he yelled a me to get out. Clarke came up to me and asked where Raven was, I told her she was downstairs and that Finn was seizing. I looked back at Bellamy who yelled and continued whipping the grounder. I yelled at him to stop, that he won't talk. Bellamy replied with "wanna bet" and stabbed something through the grounder's hand.

That was it, that broke it for me, it was one thing to whip him, but another the make a hole through his hand with a nail. I picked up the poisonous knife and yelled to get their attention. I brought it up to my arm and began to slowly cut down my arm. I was relying on what I'm hoping is the fact that this grounder wasn't going to let me die.

I hurried over to the grounder and started pointing at the small bottles, he eventually shook his head. Once I got to the vile with some yellow liquid inside he made a noise and nodded. I picked it up, took a quick swig of it and hurried down to Finn, Raven and Clarke.

I handed the antidote and Raven picked up my arm, I didn't want to worry her about the grounder or the poison, Finn was the most important thing for her to focus on right now. Besides I needed to have a word with Bellamy for torturing that grounder.
