Deprived of sleep I had to go to school that day no matter what. I felt like an abundance of questions would rain down on me, asking about Luke. I went anyways and I felt like shit when I entered those doors.
I lost count of the amount of hours I had stayed in school this day but as the finals bell rang I was alive and pleased to be able to go home.
Out of nowhere Luke's mom appears with Calum by her side. He held a duffle bag. "Hey Michael, since Luke is in the hospital I asked your mom if you guys can take cake of Calum so here I'll leave him with you... have fun!"
I thought wow cool an exchange student! I brought him home and showed him around, he simply just nodded. Once we got to the guest room it had a strong scent of my aunt's perfume. I looked at Calum, his facial expression was priceless. I started to laugh, patting his back. He just stood there confused. "So here is your room." I said.
"Gracias!" he replied.
"De nada!"
"Tu habla español?"
"Un poquito."
"Oh ok."
I left him be and went straight up to my room. About to fall asleep on my bed when suddenly...
"Mi-ka-el?"
"Calum?! Jesus christ you scared me!"
"Sorry me is uhm bored, play football?"
"I'm not much of a football player."
"Play football?"
"Look-"
"Football?" and so he started to pout, he gave me puppy dog eyes.
"Fine..."
He had a football ready, I imagined he brought that everywhere with him. We played and of course I lost. He was an extraordinary player though! We both bonded over this little game, but in the end I was exhausted as fuck. This was the most exercise I had. I felt the need to order a large pepperoni pizza.
"Your amazing Calum!" I exclaimed.
"Gracias!"
"You should join our football team."
"Pero, me no good english."
"Its okay you seem like you know enough."
He smiled walking off to his bedroom. ♫ But you gotta eat the booty like groceries ♫ I picked up my phone and yelled "HELLO?"
"Ey mi-ka-el!"
"Calum?!"
"Si."
"What the fuck? Why are you calling me?"
"Soy perezoso."
"Pere what?!"
"Lah-zee"
"Oh lazy!"
Then the call ended. I was in a state of confusion and quickly enough I fell asleep.
I woke up turning to my left side when my arm felt something solid. It felt like a human. My eyes opened only a little to notice that it was Calum, sound asleep. Snoring perhaps. I had a mini heart attack. Why did he come here? Did he do this with Luke? This was very weird but somehow comfy, no lie. Calum is a confusing human being.
