So it began...

The daily talks with Raegan no matter the time difference. I was contented. I got to know her so much better, but then I think about it. This is weird. She is miles away from me and I feel like she is closer. I haven't even seen her or heard her voice. Wow. Ding...

rae: "yo yo yo"

michael: "who is this?"

rae: "your mom"

michael: "very MATURE nicee"

rae: "okay anyways heyyy mikeeeeey"

michael: "hey rae!!!"

rae: "i just ate cookie dough woooo"

michael: "ur going to get salmonella, ew."

rae: "yolo right???!"

michael: "NEVER SAY YOLO."

rae: "do you hate everything?? omg."

michael: "well, not everything."

rae: "so what do you like, and don't say video games bc thats very obvious."

Thoughtlessly I typed "you" and once I re-read it I immediately erased. That was a close one.

michael: "ohh oh oh POKEMON!"

rae: "LOL whata child."

michael: "whatever gae."

rae: "anyways i'll ttyl! i'm at school now, bye."

michael: "okay bye."

rae: "GO SLEEP."

It has never occured to me to search her up online, but then I really don't want to ruin the surprise.

(okay finally posted something, i'm planning to add more to this chapter. what if rae ends up being a 40 year old man??? ew lol)

6 months later..

I sat on my front porch, my mom trying to comfort me. At this point I lost all hope. "Why???" I have said repeatedly over and over, crying. I haven't even kept in touch with him. Shit, I'm such a bad friend. No one should ever be my friend. Luke, has had another seizure. Fuck cancer. Ding.

I ignored it. Urging my mom to drive me to the hospital, she finally agrees. I have the gut feeling that he hates me and never wants to talk to me ever again.

Room 506. I entered quietly, listening to the pace of his heart slowly beating. "Hey Michael." Luke's mom said as she gave me a sorrowful smile. I nodded. Seeing him again in here is tragic. I had to hold my tears back.

Few hours later, Ding.

rae: "yo yo yo yo" (earlier)

rae: "uhm hi?"

"Rae huh?" Luke whispered hoarsly. I looked up, my eyes glistened. "Oh my Luke!" I ran up to him and attempted to hug him. He smiled. "Haven't seen you in forever bud."

"I know, I'm so so so sorry. You probably hate me."

"Yeah I fucking do. All these months and you don't even message me to check in on me? Its Rae right? All you care about is her."

"Luke..."

He started to laugh. Then abruptly coughed. "Just kidding mate." Luke smiled. I gave a sigh of relief. "What a bitch move." I said and we both started laughing.

With the few hours we had, we caught up with each other's life. This felt great. I haven't felt this happy in a while. Talking to Luke is a wonderful experience.

I got home and instantly remembered Rae. Shit I haven't replied to her.

michael: "sorry rae, i was in the hospital."

Probably asleep I thought. Ding. Oh nevermind!

rae: "ARE YOU OKAY??!?!?"

michael: "yes im fine, i visited luke."

rae: "IS LUKE OKAY?!?!?!?!"

michael: "lol yes he is."

rae: "oh phew, i thought you finally found something better else to do than talk to me."

michael: "something better than talking to you?! whattt no."

rae: "aw how sweet, so how is calum?"

michael: "he is great, learning english pretty quickly."

michael: "how are you rae?"

rae: "whats ur address?"

michael: "whoa what?"

rae: "oh uhm nvm lmao. haha. im good."

michael: "are you going to rape me??"

rae: "dont even start with that."

rae: "maybe i am (;"

michael: "raegan i am going to move out of this house and change my identity."

rae: "and i thought you would be glad bc im going to rape you."

michael: "if im glad, then its not considered rape."

rae: "are you flad?"

michael: "lol flad."

rae: "DAMMIT *glad"

michael: "maybe"

rae: "ew"

michael: "you know its been how many months since we've talked and i have never seen your face."

rae: "oh."

rae: "i thought you would've like googled me or sumthin."

michael: "nope, SEND ME NOODS!!!"

rae: "LMAO MIKEY NO."

michael: "skype then?"

rae: "but im so awkward irl."

michael: "PLEASE RAEEEEEE <3"

rae: "fine, ray-nbow02 and pls no hearts."

Finally I'm going to see her.
