A week later.
It was a Friday, and we finally both have time to skype each other. My mind thought of so many things while my heart's pace grew faster and faster. Ding.
rae: "yoo yo yo im ready!!!!!"
rae: "not really im scared."
rae: "hey ANSWER ME!!!"
Then I pressed it. Ring. Ring. Ring. Each ring made my heart beat faster...
Empty. A white wall filled with posters of many things, from bands to movies. I looked stupid. My eyes blankly staring at all these posters. "Hello?" I whispered.
Out of nowhere a body popped up and yelled "HEY MIKEY!" Instantly I smiled.
"Wow Rae, you're uhm.."
"Ugly? Yeah I know."
"No no no. Its just."
Then I paused, silence surrounded us.
"Its just that this is so weird, first time seeing each other and first time hearing your voice. Wow." I broke the silence.
"Yeah it is, I love your hair by the way." She giggled, and I swear that giggle made my heart melt.
"Thanks, I love- uhm- your... eyes!" I smiled, "WOW THEY ARE GREEN!"
"Yeah..."
"This is so awkward Rae, say something mann you're so quiet!!!!"
"I don't know what to say, like I'm just in awe."
"In awe of my beautiful face???"
"TOTALLY MICHAEL" She bursted out laughing and I joined her.
"So whatsup?" I asked.
"OH MY GOSH IT JUST HIT ME!!!"
"What?!"
"YOUR AUSSIE ACCENT OMG OMG OMG!"
"Calm down Rae."
"KEEP TALKING MIKEY!"
"I am..."
"Your accent is beautiful oh my."
"Thanks, just like your..."
"My?"
"YOUR POSTERS aha!" I choked.
A knock came from my door and with no surprise it was Calum. He ran up to me waving at the camera. I tried to push him away. He was very irritating.
"Hey is that Calum?!" she asked.
"Yeah me is Calum, are you Rae?"
"Yes yes! Thats me, hi Calum!!!" her smile was so adorable that it made me smile.
10 pm
Hours flew by so quickly. We got to know each other so much better than through text. Calum stayed, snoring on my bed. She giggled everytime and her giggles were the cutest. This feeling is so weird.
"One day we should meet up." she said as she yawned.
"Yes for sure."
"Hahahah fersher!"
"How dare you mock me."
"Fersher!" she giggled.
12 am
She still mocked me but on the other hand she was still astonished by my accent. She was now wrapped in her purple blanket, her eyes slowly closing. I got up to move Calum off my bed and made him walk back to his room. But once I turned around Rae was fast asleep.
michaelgcliff: "fersher rae, goodnight!"
And so I ended the call.
Honestly I might be in love.
