(A/N) Zayn has left which is very depressing but it's his life so...
"He's nothing but a thorn in my side." I hissed in irritation.
Zayn chuckled, his hand settling on my lower back. "He's just a bit too forward that's all."
I scoffed, "Yeah, okay. He's just a rude boy who is clearly not the right one for my best friend!"
Zayn glanced down at the pavement, trying to hide his amused grin.
"It's not funny." I muttered, crossing my arms across my chest.
It had been a few days since our double date, but I still couldn't help but complain about how obnoxious Harry had been the whole night. He had ruined what could have been a great time.
"Oh come on, it is a bit. I mean watching you get your feathers ruffled is kind of hilarious." he said, looking down at me. "And not to mention, adorable."
I couldn't help but crack a smile.
"Why are you so easy going about everything? I mean...he was very rude to you." I said while sliding my hand into his. We walked further down the pathway. We were currently strolling through Central Park.
He shrugged, "I just am. Plus, I don't want another Liam situation."
I mentally cringed at the thought of the incident that happened not too long ago.
"Yeah so I guess it's best you just let it roll off your shoulders." I decided, gripping his hand tightly.
"Just like you should." he added.
I groaned quietly.
"I'm a bit stubborn Zayn."
"Yeah I know." he suddenly stopped walking and yanked me into his chest. I gasped in surprise and stared at him.
He gave me a small smile before leaning down and kissing me softly.
I smiled against his mouth before grabbing the back of his neck and pulling him closer.
Suddenly we both heard a cough. I jumped back, eyes wide.
I felt relieved when I noticed it was just a random older woman merely asking us to stop with the public display of affection.
I blushed, glancing away as she passed us.
Zayn began chuckling, throwing his arm over my shoulders.
"We should probably not do that in public." I stated, wrapping my one arm around his waist as we began to walk again.

"What are your plans Zayn?" I asked as I leaned back against his chest.
He stayed silent for a moment, shifting beneath me so he was sitting more comfortably on the ground.
"What do you mean?"
I knew he knew what I meant.
"For your future." I stated almost nervously, glancing down at my fingernails.
His breath hit my ear as he sighed.
"To be honest I'm not really sure. I mean...I'm definitely not going to university." he muttered.
I frowned and sat up to turn to him.
"Don't be so negative. I'm sure you could get into any college if you put your mind to it." I said confidently.
He stared at me, a small sarcastic smile beginning to cover his lips.
"Elizabeth, trust me it isn't that easy."
