Chapter 21

Kristine's P.O.V

Recap:

"We'll keep are promise to Justin and Daphne," Dylan said.

"Because this goodbye won't last forever," I implied.

We soon went home after the funeral. And I headed straight for Daphne's room.

I look to be shocked all the memory Daphne and I had together was everywhere.

End of recap:

I looked around. I started with the first thing. It was a music box slash jewelry box as well.

It had a figure of an older girl and a younger dancing. I remembered Daphne gave me this when I was 1 and she was 4.

She had saved up so she can get me it.

I look around to see a picture and it was when Daphne and I did hula class together. It was so much fun.

There was so many more memories. That it was hard to pick on what to look at.

There was a painting Daphne and I did together.
The moment we spent are birthday once together.
First sleepover which was the feathers.

Than I see one that spot my eye. It was the necklace of a music and heart. It was broken for Daphne had the other half.

On the desk was Daphne's half. Next to it was a CD and a letter.

I opened it.

Dear Kristine,

Hi baby girl, I hope you found this letter. For I want you to. I know it's hard for you to know that I'm gone and I'm never coming back. But I want you to know you are the little sister I never got.
I am so glad to have you in my life. For I wouldn't have had died young but had lived a great life. I had unforgettable memories.
Like when you dared Rachel to eat a bug. Which I'll admit I thought you were gonna dare me to do it.
I also have the memory of seeing you grow to be the girl I knew you would be. You have amazing friends like the Angelz, Dana and Dalton.
You also have Big brothers like Gabe and David. Who treats you like Justin did. So I know you'll be ok capable hands.
You and I also found love together. You found Cole who I know will Love you no matter what which I've always wanted for you. And I fell in love with Thayer.
By the way thank you for that because if it wasn't for you. I would've still been a hot head. And still not believed you when you said Thayer changed.
I wish you the best in life. For Thats all Justin and I want for you. For we love you soo much.

I grabbed the cd. Than walked over to the radio.

I played it all of a sudden I hear someone I didn't expect to hear.

"Hi baby girl, I think you'd like a way to still hear my voice. So I thought why not this. I'm glad Jill is just this awesome," Daphne laughed over the CD.

I looked at it with tears in my eyes.

"I want you to wipe those tears, and remember that no matter what I am there for you. Because you are my baby girl no matter what."

"I hope you sing this song along with me. While you listen. Because this song is are song."

I heard the music start to play.And the memory floods in.

The memory of when Daphne gave me the music box. Playing this exact melody.

When I was there for her first heartbreak and she was there for me.

Now the last memory. Was the time we spent watching are favorite movie. And I'd gotta say that's the best way. Not the most fancy. But it was are last.

"I wish you the best of luck in the future. Hope that you and Cole be together forever. Same with Will and Chelsea," I heard start to crack up. "I know it's hard to say goodbye. But just know that this goodbye is just the last one till we say hello once again. I love you.

Goodbye Daphne. I will never forget you. Thank you for the memories and love you've given me and everyone around you. You will forever be are golden girl.
