Chapter 14

Daphne's P.o.V

I was reading my book at the table with my cousin Lily. Until...

"Guess who," The familiar husky voice.

"Thayer," I guessed.

"Your know fun you were supposed to make guesses first," Thayer whined.

"I'm sorry," I said pecking his lips.

"Well I know a way you can make it up to me," Thayer implies.

"What," I asked curious.

"Put this on," Thayer said.

I was skeptical and curious as I see him holding a blind fold. I look at him like he was crazy.

But still let him place it on me.

"Alright follow me," Thayer said.

"I hope you know I can't do much now," I reminded him.

"I know," Thayer implied. "And surprise."

I look to see a candle light dinner. Out on the patio where you can see the most beautiful view.

"Little birdies told me this is what you've always wanted to do," Thayer added as he scoot out my chair so I can sit.

Birdies? Dylan and Kristine. I love those two so much.

"I'm guessing Dyl and Kristine," I asked?

Thayer nodded.

With that we kept talking like I wasn't sick and not like I was gonna leave my husband.

We soon finished are meal and went you by the swing bench out by the view. We took a seat taking in the fresh air.

"I'm still gonna fight for us," I told Thayer.

"Daphne," Thayer responded.

I knew he doesn't like knowing that I'm hurting and I'm still fighting. For he knows like I do and everyone that there's no chance for me.

Unlike Kristine... who still believes.

"Promise me you'll take care of my baby girl," I asked him. "And to never forget me and to find someone to love you like I do till we meet again."

"I promise as long as you'll be waiting," Thayer added.

I nodded.

With that I slowly felt his lips touch mine. Oh how I love this man all so much.
