Chapter 3

Kristine's P.o.V

I rode off to knows where. I stumbled upon the Lake Cole and I were earlier today.

I looked on the tree. And it still had an engraving on it. J+K= Siblings 4EVER.

I sat leaned against the tree. With Sugar next to me.

I started feeling my eyes droop. Than I feel asleep on the tree.

Few minutes nap won't hurt...

Cole's P.O.V

We were all down in the basement. Hanging out.

I was watching Will and Dana play ping pong. But I couldn't but think about Kristine.

Where is she?

I got up and went upstairs. No one was there. Than I looked out the window.

It was starting to rain hard. I heard footsteps walk up behind me.

I look to see Grandpa Joe. He had such a worries look on his face.

"WILL JACKSON," Joe called.

"Yes?" They both asked coming upstairs.

"Go find your cousin, I'm getting worried its late and its raining," Joe told them. "And hurry."

With that they ran out. And went to go find her.

Kristine... please where are you?

Kristine's P.O.V

I woke up from my nap to see it was dark. And raining as well.

I grabbed Sugar. And we rode back.

As we were riding. Sugar started acting crazy.

And I see what she was scared of. I look to see a mountain lion.

"Go Sugar," I told her as we ran as fast as we could.

I reached in bag. i only had perfume in there and hair spray.

I turn to see it was coming closer. I grabbed the hair spray.

It made a leap attempt. I sprayed. It was able to miss sugar but sadly not my arm.

We look back to see it not there. All of a sudden. Sugar was able to knock me off.

That's when the lion came out of the tree.

"STOP," I yelled at lion.

I soon grabbed a stick and hit the lion and than a rock and threw that as well. It was about to come back.

But I sprayed it again with my hair spray. Which made retrieve back.

It went away.

Then I looked back at Sugar. She was laying on the floor.

I saw blood and a very deep scratch.

"SUGAR, No don't leave me," I called out to her.

I could tell she was about to give out by the sound of her trying to catch her breath.

I cried,"HELP!"

No answer. No please.

As I cried. Darkness fell on me all of a sudden.

Will's P.o.v

"Will see her yet," Jackson yelled!

"No,where is she," I asked?

We checked the lake her and Cole were earlier. For im guessing she was there.

But no luck.

"Do you smell hair spray," Jackson asked?

I nodded. It was Kristine's. She always carries that around.

We followed the smell. That's when we saw a horse laying down.

"Is that," I asked?

My thought was right. It was Sugar. And that means...

I looked at Jackson. I nodded. With that we rode over.

"OMG, Kristine," Jackson said as we both hopped off.

"Check on Sugar," I told him.

He nodded. "Will take Kristine back. Than come back with my dad. And Fast."

I nodded. I got Kristine on and than I hopped on.

We rode back to the house.

"Will, Sugar," I heard Kristine try to speak.

"Don't worry, We'll take care of her okay," I told her.

I already knew what would happen. And I don't want think of it like that.

Cole's P.O.V

"JOE," I heard Gabe yell.

I ran out to see Will was back. We all ran out. I was the first one the get there.

I grabbed Kristine Bride style.

"Common get her inside," Grandma Beth said.

I got her inside.

"Uncle Ray common we need your help back where we found them," Will told him."Its Sugar."

Ray nodded. Grabbed his hat. Than ran to the farm to grab himself a horse.

I focused my attention back on Kristine as I placed her on the couch.

"Tori grab the a rag and water," Grandma Beth said. "Daphne grab me a thermometer and some clothes."

They both nodded.

Daphne came back with the thermometer. Beth took her temperature.

"Oh my dear, Joe she has 102," Beth said.

"I'll call the doctor," Kuni offered.

"Cole watch her,"Grandma Beth said.

"Well go to town and get her medicine," Dana and everyone offered.

Grandpa nodded giving them a key. "take the van."

They nodded and ran off.

"I'm gonna go help them with Sugar," Joe said.

"I'm coming with," Daphne said as they hopped in the truck.

"Cole," I heard Kristine call out.

"I'm here," I said.

"Lion," She called out.

That's when I saw her arm. It was bleeding like crazy.

"GRANDMA BETH KUNI," I called out.

"She bleeding."

"Oh dear," Beth shocked.

She ran and came back with another rag.

"Common Kristine," I called out.
