Part 23: Happy reunion

Y/n pov:

I wake up expecting the warmth from a particular green man but alas it was just cold sheets. I pull myself up looking around. I was still in Dream's old base. I hear the door open and the sound of Dream's laughter and someone else. 

I drag myself out of the bedroom and into the living room. There stood Puffy and Dream conversating. He brought a heap of boxes which I presume is his old stuff. Finally he realises me standing in the door frame.
"Hey darling," he says ever so softly as if any louder I'd shatter. He pulls me into a gentle hug which I quickly deliver back. Puffy also realises and gives me a smile. I drag my feet towards her and pull her into a hug.
"Someone's happy" I mumble into her curly hair.
"Yeah... I have my son back" She sighs almost in disbelief. 

I look in the fridge that had been filled somewhat. "Hey y/n, I brought some clothes and feminine products for you. Thought you'd want them since you're here" Puffy smiles.
"Thanks little miss" I say putting the bags into our room to sort out later. "So what did you both do this morning?" I ask as I start making breakfast.
"Well we had a walk, got some new tools and shit, met some people uhhh said hi to Tommy" Dream says with a smirk. I can feel myself cringe.
"Uh yeah about that can we talk Dream," I motion at puffy "alone."
"You're ok I'm heading out now" 

We wave bye to puffy as she leaves on her horse Raven. "What do you wanna talk about?" Dream asks turning to me.
"Dream, it's me or Tommy" I say sternly.
"What are you talking about?"
"Dream it's me. Or. Tommy?" I ask again.
"Y/n I genuinely don't know what you're on about." I scoff at his words. 
"Dream, you either pester Tommy and abuse that kid for the rest of your life without me or leave the kid alone and be with me"
"Y/n don't get me wrong I love you but me and Tommy's thing has been going on for ages-"
"So you haven't changed" I can feel tears want to fill my eyes. "I thought you changed when you left that prison. You were still your cocky self but without the I wanna kill kids thing. Well I guess I was wrong" I turn to go to our room but he grabs my wrist pulling me into him, my hands on his chest. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks.
"Y/n I choose you" He sighs, "It'll always be you, it's just I want to be-"
"In power? Yeah understandable but just not with the goddamn kid" I look up to him from his chest. He sighs resting his chin on my head.
"You wanna go to Kinoko?" He asks.
"Don't you think it's too soon?"
"Nah let's just go" He smiles. God his smile, it can cure depression that's for sure.

"Y/nnnn hurry up!" Dream whines. 
"Can you wait dipshit?" I say annoyed trying to get my sheaths on. I open the door to a whiney Dream. 
"Finally" he mutters. I walk outside greeted to the wild pink sheep baaing.
"PRINCESS PINKY!" I yell hugging the little sheep. I can hear Dream giggle. "Can we bring her with us?" I ask Dream.
"I mean if you can make it sit on a horse"
"Her. Not it." 
"Jeez ok" He mumbles. Dream slips on his porcelain mask. I giggle and his smile returns back to his lips from the part I can see of his face. Dream sits on the horse I sit infront of him leaning my back into his chest, pinky in my chest. "We ready Princesses?"
"Ready" I smile and off we went to Kinoko Kingdom

~~Time skip~~

I can feel Dream's heart beat faster and faster as we approach Kinoko. I point to the stables to put the horse in. I slip a collar onto Pinky so I can pull her with a leash. Once we arrive at the door I wait patietly for Dream to knock. His hand goes to the door knob before retreating back into his green hoodie pocket. "Dream hurry the fuck up" I sigh annoyed and a bit cold. He grunts before turning his hands to fists and knocking hard on the door. I can hear commotion through the door before Sapnap opens the door letting us in. I give him a small smile which he returns.
