Part 43 : As Clear As Water

1 week into the future...

DREAM'S POV:
I can only grit my teeth watching from the woods as the sunsets at the girl who goes cabin to cabin chatting with her family. I can only wait till she says I can come back. I trust her. With every bone sat deep in me that she knows what shes doing.

I watch as a little blonde boy makes his way through the snow to the cabin.
Y/n, she loves me. She wouldn't want this to happen to me. So it must be someone else...

Y/N POV:
I lay in bed for the seventh night in a row despite Techno's requests to get out and about. I just lack energy. When I'm with Dream I have a reason to continue. When he's gone I feel dead. Like a battery. Everything just keeps replaying in my head draining me out. Like sapnap. Boy do I miss my boys.

"WOMAN!!!" My door flings open. I let out a shriek just to see none other than Tommy Innit standing at the door frame.

"Tommy fucking knock dipshit," I throw my pillow at him only for him to throw it back. 

"Woah you look awful." I glare at him. "Anyways I'm having a sleepover with you! Where's your Dreamy poo?" I look at him in shock.

"Thomas you don't just decide to have a sleepover at someones house you have to ask them. And Dream's not here." I get up out of bed and search for some good proper clothes out of my wardrobe for the first time in a couple days. 

"Let's go to the pond! Wear your swimmers!" Tommy cheers from behind me.

"Tommy its fuckin freezing! plus I wanna stay at home," I groan.

"Well yesterday it was very sunny and if my science is correct it should be somewhat warm," he says in a nerdy tone. I groan again. "Come on womaaaaannnn lets at least check."

"Fine," I grumble pushing him out to grab swimmers.

I make my way downstairs to see Tommy in his swimmers which was just shorts and his normal red and white shirt in swimming material. "Ready to go?" I ask.

"Yeah, wait I'll get food." He rushes inside. I follow and run into techno's room. I barge in as he Sits in bed, his glasses at the tip of his knows as he reads his old looking book.

"COME POND WITH US!" I yell.

"Um, A knock and B its cold."

"Tommy's science says it should be fine." Techno raises an eyebrow at me.
"Come at least check Technooooo." He only sighs and goes back to reading. "Fine I guess I'll go back to laying in bed allllllll week." I slowly make my way to the door.

"I swear if its cold," Techno grumbles getting up. I cheer and go downstairs to Tommy holding a basket of food. 

"Techs coming with us." I say. He gives me a thumbs up with his free hand. Finally techno comes down wishing Phil goodbye. 

We begin the trail to the pond. The pond or more a lake, was a place we'd come as kids. The only difference now is that Phil's not here. Oh and Wil's not with us. Not like I'm complaining. I sense of safety washed over me as the three of us laughed the whole way there as the snowy terrain turned to grassy.

Finally we arrive and run down the little hill to the pond (A/N - Image at the top). Everyone halts at the end. 

"Who's gonna check the water first?" I ask worried it will be ice cold.

"NOT IT!" Techno yells. I quickly yell after him. Tommy groans. "Tommy your the one who said it would be fine because of your 'science' or something." Techno chuckles. Tommy slides his flip flops off and dips his toe in and gasps loudly.

"I told you it would be fucking co-"

"ITS WARM ITS ACTUALLY SHITTING WARM GUYS!" Tommy cuts me off. I scrunch my face and dip a toe in, shocked to feel my foot meet the warm water. I motion techno to hop in and slowly walk further in. Tommy dive jumps into the water splashing everywhere. Techno roars in laughter. A smile creeps onto my lips. 

I stay at the area where my feet can touch the ground enough. Tommy keeps pestering me to come further into the water. Techno keeps diverting his attention. I think he knows i cant swim. 

Finally he has enough of Tommy nagging and comes towards me. "Hop onto my back" Techno smiles.

"Techno." I say worried.

"I won't let go I promise," he says turning around. I sigh and wrap my legs around his torso as he goes into the water. Tommy cheers and I let out a little shriek. I move around with my legs still wrapped around the large man splashing around. I lay back a bit, feeling the warm water tickle my head and filling my ears. The sky looks cloudy but the calming type as little streaks of sun peaks through the clouds. 

I only realise how much I've zoned out when i hear Techno yell out from far away. My legs retract to absolutely nothing and I begin to panic. I kick around trying to find him till finally he returns and grabs me.

"You were actually floating on your own!" He smiles proudly.

"Still not a good idea to fucking leave me!" i yell still trying to calm myself down. Tommy's coughed from so much laughter. I side-eyed him hard.

Finally we had all calmed down and just drifted in the warmth of the water. A cool breeze came from outside making me want to stay in the pond forever.

"So Y/n hows life been?" He asks floating with his hands behind his head. I let out a sigh.

"You know when your listening to music and it lags a bit so its on play but nothings playing?" I watch him scrunch his face. "yeah its like that." Tommy moves to treading the water.

"You know I'm properly sorry right? Like I full regretted that. I felt shit. Like a massive big hot steamy dump. Like a humongous floating piece of-"

"Tommy I know. I wouldn't have wanted to come here with you if I was still mad." I watch as a smile returns onto the blondes face.

"Float with me woman," Tommy asks as he rolls onto his back.

"I'll stand right beside you." Techno says firmly. I slowly kick my legs up and float star fish in the water.

"I think Sam's a  reason why things just don't feel the same. As long as he's here I'll have this anxiety in my chest. Like I physically can't look at a potato no more."

"Hey potatoes are amazing don't say that!" I carefully turn my head to see Techno star fish floating next to me. I chuckle and decide not to move for my own safety.

"Does this count as swimming?" I ask.

"No. Swimming and floating are two different things dumb ass."

"Tommy." Me and Techno say at the same time before laughing.

"Lets head back now guys," Techno says as he come to bring me back to the edge. Tommy groans. I smile at him, grateful for the time I had.

DREAM'S POV:
I watch as the three wrapped in towels stuff their faces with a sandwich and run to the way back home which looked like it was going terrible as they were all wearing flip flops and wet. A nasty feeling of jealousy burned in my throat. It made me feel like shit. 

But now I know...

A couple vague words I heard were 'Still mad, Sam, Anxiety'. Sam's who I need to go for. To get my girlfriend back. I pick myself up and make my way to my make shift home for now, preparing for some mass planning.
