Drizzlepaw's POV

Drizzlepaw twitched his whiskers as he followed Flowerlily through WindClan territory. Well, they were going two fox-lengths, or less, away from the water so they were fine, but it still felt weird.
Drizzlepaw's nose was masked with the scent of rabbit and just full-on WindClan. Not something he was fond of.

Drizzlepaw scrambled up the rocks and cringed as he heard his claws scrape the solid boulder. Flowerlily had already begun padding off as he climbed up the rocks.
She was clearly still mad at him.
But when is she not.
He reminded himself as he scrambled after her.
"Come on, Flowerlily. Wait up!" he called after her.
She glanced back and paused for a moment before her eyes softened slightly. It was as if a barrier broke and she was slowly going back to her normal self before her gaze hardened again once he caught up. She headed off once more and he was left panting behind her. He lowered his head out of habit and exhaustion.
When they reached the moonpool Drizzlepaw saw that Shimmersong from ThunderClan and Meadowfern and Poppyflower from WindClan were already there.
"I'm guessing Juniperflower didn't want to come?" Flowerlily asked Shimmersong, who just nodded in reply.
Drizzlepaw perked one ear and lashed her tail slightly. Being the only tom wasn't the most fun thing ever, but it's not like it mattered.
He shook his head and glanced at the water as the she-cats began bending down towards the moonpool.
"Are we not going to wait on Iceblaze?" he asked.
Poppyflower glanced at him.
"He told us at the gathering that he's given up and will no longer be joining us." she explained.
Drizzlepaw twitched his ear and nodded curtly before he bent down beside the water.
The medicine cats all lapped at the water, but he hesitated. They all closed their eyes though they didn't seem like they were actually pulled into a dream like Flowerlily had first described to him when he had first became an apprentice.

"The bodies will become ice cold. It feels like you're being sucked right out of your body!" Flowerlily exclaimed.
She was getting excited just talking about it.
"Does it hurt?" Drizzlepaw asked.
Flowerlily smiled warmly, "Of course not. StarClan would never intend to hurt a living cat unless it's for a good purpose. Like when leaders get their nine lives." she meowed.
Drizzlepaw perked his ears and stared right into his new mentor's soft amber gaze.
"I can't wait to communicate with StarClan!" he mewed, beginning to get excited as well.
Flowerlily grinned, "That's the spirit!" she purred, letting out a mrrow of amusement at her own joke.

"But I never did, did I?" Drizzlepaw mumbled softly to himself, glancing at Flowerlily.
He reached out his tail and brushed his mentor's pelt. She wasn't cold, not even any lower of a temperature. She even flinched away as he touched her.
'When a medicine cat is contacting Starclan, they are completely unaware what happens to their body unless StarClan shows them.'
Drizzlepaw let out a quiet sigh and looked at the water before taking in a deep breath. He bend his head down until he was close enough to start lapping at the water.
I guess it's worth a shot...
It felt cold to his tongue before his eyes closed uncontrollably and he felt his whole body go numb.

He forced his eyes open and let out a loud gasp, almost choking on his own saliva.
Everything was green and he definitely wasn't at the moonpool anymore. His gaze traveled around the clearing slowly, it was completely empty.
Disappointment started to make his chest hollow.
This is probably just another dream...walking around an endless field of grass.
Drizzlepaw flattened his ears slowly and took a step forward, but this time, his body didn't move. Not one small bit.
His eyes widened slightly and he felt a shiver run down his pine.
A yowl echoed everywhere, it was impossible to detect where it came from. It was a yowl of complete distress and it sounded far, far away.
Drizzlepaw opened his jaw to call out, but there was nothing. His voice didn't seem to work. It was the worse feeling ever.
The yowling gradually became louder until it became more audible. One more voice seem to add every time there was a pause and soon, the yowls turned into shrieks.
Drizzlepaw started to panic and he unsheathed his claws as he was suddenly yanked forward. He tried to dig his claws into the ground, but nothing seemed to work.
Nothing was pulling him. Or, nothing physical.
He clawed at the ground that didn't seem to hold and he let out his silent screeches of panic. With each attempt to stop, he seemed to just go faster. His pads were getting cut from the grass, leaving small trails of blood as he was pull along.
He was dragged until he came to a sudden spot in the middle of four oak trees. There was a tall boulder and the yowling suddenly stopped, causing an eerie silence.
Drizzlepaw crouched down and flattened his ears as he wrapped his tail around himself, absolutely terrified.
Different colored eyes began opening behind the shadows of the trees and there was a soft whisper, it felt as if someone was right next to him though no one was there.
Help us...
