Kathy stared at the box placed in front of her, what did that have to do with her missing daughter? Before she could question the box Doreen reached for Kathy's hands. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you this. I never imagined this would happen, honestly, I didn't actually believe it when my grandmother told me."
After letting go of her granddaughter's hands she placed her hands on the old box. "In here is my grandmother's diary. She told me a story when I was younger about her and her best friend, the two of them found a way to summon something that can grant wishes. She wasn't clear about what she found or where she found it, but she told me it was a troll that was supposed to grant their wishes."
Doreen sighed as she opened the box and picked up the diary. "They did end up getting their wishes granted, but at a cost. The troll that granted their wishes warned them if they had their wishes granted that one day their descendants will come to her together to get a wish granted, and instead of getting a wish, they would be pulled into the world with the troll and will never escape again."
Kathy stared at her grandmother in disbelief. "You don't actually believe that do you?"
Doreen continued to flip through the diary her grandmother kept, watching the dates closely to find the page she needed. Once found she turned the book towards her granddaughter.
"They wished to find true love; the troll granted that. Because the troll granted their wishes, they were worried that the consequences would be real too. They decided to save their descendants, they'd move far away from each other so their descendants would never meet, and they'd never have to face the consequences."
Kathy took the diary and read through the pages.
"This can't be real. There is no way that Ash and Star are facing the consequences of their great great great grandmothers making some kind of deal with a troll." Kathy shook her head and handed the book back to her grandmother. "I'm sorry, but Ash is missing. This is serious, it's not just some story your grandmother told you as a little girl to keep you entertained."
Kathy walked out of the room to call her husband.
"I think it was a bad idea to tell grandma, when she was young her grandmother used to tell her stories about some troll granting wishes with consequences to keep her entertained. Grandma is mixing up fairy tales with reality."
Doreen stood close to the door, listening in on the conversation. My granddaughter thinks I'm crazy. She thought with a frown. She was old but not yet senile. If they won't believe me, I'll have to find a way to help Ash and her friend myself.

"Oh my God, I actually love this song!"
Ash and Star were sitting with Hickory when the pop trolls started performing a pop song Ash loved when she was a kid.
Star started laughing, "I remember you were gonna marry him."
"I was so sure if I went to Los Angeles, I'd randomly bump into him, and we'd fall madly in love with each other."
"Los Angeles?" Hickory raised his brow while passing a cappuccino to Ash.
"Yeah, it's like where almost all the famous people where we're from live."
"So, you haven't met him?"
"Our world is huge, and honestly, famous people are on a completely different level than us. If this world was like our world, we would've never met the Kings and Queens of this world."
"You know, you haven't said much good about your world since we met."
Star butted in. "There isn't that much good, at least where we're from."
