You stab me afront
in the broad daylight
and even as I bleed I whisper,
"can you please never go out of sight"you stab me back and forth
the wounds- they bleed and dry
but I see the pain in your eyes as you do that and even if you don't want to I know,
you always try
you've been suffering for too long now
for you the stake's always been high
the victim of your own standards
honey, let out a sigh
you might go take a rest now
but beware
it's not a goodbyenever been the one for regret
always breaking the sweat
but I bet this time it's different
the fatigue- it's getting to your headEven though I bleed now
I know you too are vulnerable as hell
my wounds might be physical
but your scars,
they're wrapping your mind in a shellIt might seem that we'd bleed to death
it might seem that there's no way out
baby, it's okay, hold on
And as cliche it may be but
hey there's a silver lining in every cloudOur story is far from over
I know it, there ain't no doubt
and someday when we heal our wounds
we might as well set free and cheer out loud.
