The room was dark when I entered, she's got to be in here somewhere. During my studies, I heard a man talking on the phone about how he was going to kill 'her'. It wasn't a 'wrong number' sort of thing, he called through the hotel's phone, which I bugged. I have a problem with all people, some call it antisocial, but people just aren't trustworthy. When I arrived at the hotel I posed as a electrician and bugged every room on this floor. How did I do it? Easy. Fake ID's, costumes and great acting skills, the rest is easy to figure out. My thoughts immediately vanished when I saw her in the center of the room, a clean plastic tarp underneath her to prevent blood soaking into the carpet. She was tied to a fold-up chair, I could see here figure trembling furiously.
My hand drifted over to my holster, which held my .45 in it. I heard sobs coming from the young lady, her shivering increasing. The light shining into the room came from the window and the city's dim lights from outside. Idiot, I thought, if you're going to kill someone, cover the windows. I saw how dark it was outside, no one what so ever would ever see him kill her; we were on a high floor and the buildings around us weren't anywhere close, but still.
My gun was aimed eye level to me, the safety was off and fully loaded; it was ready to be shot at anytime. My pace was slow as I was making my way to her. She had light hair with soft curls in it, I couldn't see much from the back. I carefully walked in front of her, her eyes grew with fear, she began squirming in her chair. She tried screaming but it was cut off by the piece of tape that covered her mouth. Tears spilled from her eyes, her breathing had quickened, She's hyperventilating. I knelt down in front of her.
"Sh, hey? Miss, you're going to be okay, alright? I wont let anyone hurt you." I reassured her, whispering. Her tense body relaxed, she slightly nodded. I returned the nod, I stood up to go behind her to release her bindings. As soon as I stood I looked down at her, "Is he gone?" she hesitated for a long time. Before she could answer, I felt something smash against the back of my skull. My legs collapsed beneath me and my body crumpled to the ground. My vision, slowly, faded to black.
