-ONE WEEK LATER-

Moping around.

That's all Louis seemed to be able to do. He could barely force himself to get out of bed, let alone eat meals or drink enough water in order to stay healthy. He had already dropped 7 pounds, not that he was keeping a careful eye on his weight anyway, but he felt empty.

Like a bag of bones that had no meaning. Like a rainy day that never let up, that never ended with the sun coming out, and a rainbow appearing. A body without a soul, without a smile. Eyes without a sparkle.

He felt lonely.

Depressed.

Missing his green eyes and curly, shaggy hair.

Missing his scent.

Missing his laugh, his smile.

Missing him.

Louis knew by now that he made a horrible mistake. He knew when he stepped on the plane, when he sat down, when he left the boy standing in the airport, alone, broken.

He hadn't reached out. Who knows if Harry would even want to talk to him after the foolish stunt Louis pulled in Hawaii. Who knows if he would even forgive him after the pain Louis put him through. Who knows.

But as the week dragged on, and his bed very obviously held no answers, Louis felt as though he had finally opened his eyes to the truth.

He loves Harry.

And he needs to fix this situation.

So he began to construct his plan.

-FLASHBACK TO TRAVEL DAY-

When Harry finally arrived home after his long journey, all he wanted to do was sleep. The emotional turmoil he had endured in the last 15 hours was enough to last him a year, and he felt as though he had aged from it.

He fumbled with his keys, before finally finding the correct one, and sliding it into his lock. He knew his roommate would be waiting for him inside, but he couldn't find the energy to be excited.

The door opened before he could even touch the door handle, and a pair of strong arms pulled him into a hug, blonde hair blocking his vision.

"Harry!! I'm so happy you are home, mate! I missed you! Tell me everything about your trip, start to finish. Ooh! I'll help you unpack. And what sounds good? I'll make us some food." Niall rambled on, not even noticing the tired, tear-stained face that shown distinctly on Harry. He picked up Harry's bags, pushing open the door with his back-side. Harry trudged in, slipping off his shoes slowly, before wandering into his room, ignoring Niall's original plans.

"Harry?" He hears from the kitchen. "You alright, mate?"

No answer.

Harry falls face-first into his sheets, falling asleep almost immediately. Niall walks in a few moments later, smiling down at his friend before tucking him in gently as to not wake him.
