"You want us to go to Karma Island?" Jack asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah.. it's overseas across the Atlantic though." I looked down with a soft sigh.

"Does..anyone know how to fly a plane?" Cat asked, her voice was exhausted.
Nobody said anything for a while before I heard Jack pipe up.
"I've played some flight sim in 2019 and read up on planes." He shrugged, "I'm sure it'll be easy.."

"Are you sure?" Adam asked, "This isn't a game, this is real life." Jack nodded, "I'm sure."
"Good, Queens has a private airport that we could use." How did I know this? Don't ask. Everyone was quiet for a moment before Alba spoke up. "So, we fly 7,000 miles across the Atlantic, with Jack as our pilot." She scoffed, "Then what?"

I shrugged, "I dunno.." I knew they were all thinking the same thing, that I lost my fucking mind, but I was certain of what we had to do.

A few minutes ago they woke me up from a dream. While I was asleep, I was face to face with someone evil that took the form of my friend Austin, but I was saved by the creature. It showed me a place where we could go..a safe place. Karma Island.

"Look, I know how this sounds-" I was cut off by Alba. "You're asking us to go halfway across the world with Jack, who mind you, hasn't slept in three days and isn't even a real pilot." She crossed her arms. I looked over to Jack, "What do you think, bud, can you do it?"

"We'll be violating a lot of safety regulations..that's for fucking sure.." Jack scratched at his beard. Alba tapped her arm, "After 48 hours with no sleep the brain starts to hallucinate. It's worse than being drunk or stoned." She uncrossed her arms and let them hang at her side.
"We feel okay right now because of the modafanil but at some point we will crash, If he tries to fly a plane in his condition we will die."

"We'll die if we stay." I look around at everyone, "What chance do we have if we stay here? I mean look at us. We're all dying as we speak. We have to do this, we have to leave right now." I get off the bed.

"Why? What do you think we will find there?" Adam asked. "All I know is on the night before this all began I had dreamed of a creature and it warned me of things that came true. It told me to beware of the audience and when Alba said that she could never perform in front of an audience..it clicked." I looked at Alba as she rolled her eyes, "That's called a coincidence Ryan."

I felt my eye twitch a little, "Alba you would be dead right now if I didn't tell you to not fall asleep! How could I have known that? It was the creature!"
"You think this creature is..real?" Cat asked as she looked at me with a small hum.

"I think the creature could be this...old man. It came to me in my dream, I think he is waiting for us in the jungle."

"Jesus christ." I heard Alba mumble.

I looked at her with fire in my eyes, "Open your fucking eyes! Look at what's happened, in one night a nightmare killed the world!" I took a breath in and out, "We have to stop clinging to our old ways of thinking."

"I don't know, Ry.. I'm fine with risking my own life but if that plane goes down.. It'll be taking you guys down with me." Jack frowned.
I look at him, "I think you're alive for a reason and..I think it's to fly us to Karma Island."
"You think so?" He looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "I do." I said with certainty.

Jack took a deep breath in and walked over to me, "Okay, Ry. Fuck it." He put a hand on my shoulder, "I'll give it a go." I smiled a little, "Yeah?" He nodded, "I promise to get us there and if we don't make it, it's one hell of a way to go down."

I felt Cat's hand on my arm, "Do you really believe this is what we should do?" She asked softly. "Yeah." I nodded and she nodded in return.
I looked at Adam, "A?" He sighed, "I'm not letting you guys go alone. No way in hell. So..I'm in." I smiled, "Thank you."
