I smiled at his comment and waved him over, he sat next to me and looked at me intently, "I know your sorry, and I still don't think there's anything to be sorry for, but I need to know what you feel for me." I said seriously.
He took in a deep breath, "Amy, I feel for you, what Augustus felt for Hazel, but a little less. Because I am not capable of love. It's just not something that I've ever been able to do. But I really, really like you. And I, I just don't want to pressure you into anything, because I know that feelings are serious and I don't want to make you feel like you have to be in a relationship with me, because I feel things stronger for you than you feel for me." He said seriously.
I smiled and pulled him in for a hug, "Jackson Earl Denivior. I would like to ask you out on a date, after I am out of this hellhole, that smells like death, and do me the honor of spending money on me and giving me a good time." I said.
He grinned and pulled away, "It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you." I screeched and smacked his arm.
"You an your Fault in Our Stars quotes! I swear I think you like it more than I!" I moved over and patted the spot next to me on the bed. He slid in and I cuddled into his side. "I missed you, but you really need to eat more. I liked my bulky Jackson better." I said, my voice muffled into his side.
He let out a deep chuckle, moving a few strands of hair to behind my ear. "I missed you too princess. I will eat more, just so you can get your bulky Jackson back." He whispered, leaning in and kissing my cheek.
"Hey! Who said you could do that! Get your damn cooties all over my best friend!" I looked up and I saw Casey pointing at Jackson accusingly, I popped my head out from under his arm and held my arms out.
"HUG ME BROTHA!" I shouted, shacking my arms, imitating Josh from Drake and Josh.
She laughed and ran into my arms, "I missed you m&ms." She whispered in my hair.
"I missed you skittles." I said, tearing up in her hair. I pulled away and looked into her eyes, "You need to tell me some of the stuff I missed, most of it was what my dad told me, but your the gossip girl of our school."
She smiled and leaned back into the chair, "Well, Lilly Collins," she looked pointedly at Jackson, "She has been a wreck, since everyone is giving attention to you, there's a memorial for you by the trophy case, billions of flowers and pictures and candle for you. You have some stuffies and some of your favorite movies are there too. Kelly and Sean are more serious, they're and official couple now. Cody hasn't found anyone, but he's looking." She said, smiling at something.
I narrowed my eyes playfully, "Your not telling me about Chase." I said in a sing-song voice.
She rolled her eyes, "There's nothing to tell."
Jackson looked over at her, "Liar, you should check your pants cause they're on fire." He turned to me, "They are laughing, kissing, smiling, sexing, having fun." He said waving his hands around.
Her cheeks heated up and she glared at Jackson, "okay so maybe we have a thing going on, but my sexual life is none of your business."
He snorted, "When it's in my house it is."
"In his house!" I screeched.
She smirked, "He's been practically living in your room, barely ever eating, never coming out, had to throw a bucket of ice water on him once to get him to eat." She said.
He looked down at the ground and sighed, "I really missed you."
I smiled, "I missed you too." I turned to Casey again, "Call the rest of the gang to come down here I want to see them." She nodded and walked out of the room, to call them.
"JACKIE!!!!!!!!" A little girl came zooming through the hallways and I saw long blond hair similar to Jacksons run past us. Her voice faded as she ran farther away from my room.
Jackson laughed and u saw joy cross his face, "EVIE!!!!" He shouted. "IN HERE!"
A doctor came into the room, "You kids need to shut up because there are patients here who are trying to sleep."
He nodded and muttered a sorry. The little girl came running in and jumped on his lap. "Momma said I could come see you! Your doing better! Jackie I missed you! You left me for so long!" Her high pitched voice squeaked and she pummeled his chest with tiny fists that did no damage.
She stopped and looked over at me with big green eyes, "Jackie, who's the pretty girl?" She whispered.
"I'm Amy, what's your name?"
"In Evie, short for Evangeline." She held out her hand, I took her small hand and shook it.
I looked at Jackson and his face was quiet. Not like the joy from earlier, "Amy, this is Evangeline."
He sighed, running his hand through his hair, he looked at Evie with a glimmer in his eyes, "My daughter."
