Can I have water, please

"OH MY GOD! Is it you, Richard? You are looking sooo Handsome." Sofia gasped as soon as I entered Viktor's house. Yes, I had cut my hair short and had trimmed my beard.

"Are you flirting with me, Sofia?" I smirked at her, looking over to Rashid. Both of them were checking the gifts that we were giving out to all the guests.

"I can, can't I? If my husband can flirt with Mr. Anderson, I can flirt with you. Right Rashid?" She probed, drawing patterns on her husband's arm.

"Of course, darling, we are in an open relationship. You can flirt with anyone you want to, until I inject them with poison." He replied with overly sweet smile.

"Woah, I have no intention of dying yet so Sofia, please stay away from ME." She started laughing at my response.

"Can anyone please help me with this?" Viktor came out from the guest room attempting to fix the bow around his neck.

"Let me baby" Rashid immediately went up to help. He stepped closer to bro to agitate him while tieing the bow, their faces were so near. I exchanged a look with Sofia, who was shaking her head with a smile.

"Oh my god Viktor were you going to kiss me, I am married, how could you."? Rashid fake shrilled at bro with his hand on his heart and eyes wide. This guy!

"Just take him away from me. I don't know Sofia, how you handle him?" Viktor pushed him away. All of us started laughing.

"Okay I will quickly go and check if Jia is ready" bro mumbled walking towards his bedroom were Jia was getting ready with all the other girls. He tried to sneak pass Sofia but...

"Mr. Anderson..." Sofia stopped him.

"Yes." He turned.

"That was really adorable... attempt. But. I can't allow it." She stood in front of him with her hands on her hips.

"Oh! Viktor, just look at you...you are looking so handsome." Just then, Jia's mom came through the door. She loved bro like her son.

"Thanks mom, you are looking beautiful too." He took her hands in his, smiling brightly.

"My Jia is so lucky to have you in her life" she beamed.

"No, mom it me who is lucky to have her." Bro professed.

"I will go and check Jia." She went upstairs saying that.

"Ya..." I could see bro was getting nervous and impatient. He started pacing around, glancing at the clock. It was about time we moved out.

"Lets move outside." Rashid said. As we were going out. Mike and Stephan came in to get the bride.

"We are going to get your bride, buddy, just hold it." Mike teased bro, patting his back.

Soon the ceremony was over and Mr. and Mrs Anderson were mingling with the guests. Jia was looking beautiful as bride, but I had eyes just for my Lia. She was breathtaking in her bridesmaid's dress. My eyes followed her everywhere, when she was standing beside Jia as her bridesmaids shredding happy tears, when she was dancing with Liam, when she blushed as Sofia teased her for being the next bride, when Liam whispered something in her ears and went away kissing her goodbye, my eyes were just on her beautiful face capturing each and every expression in my heart.

The newly married couple had vanished. I had never seen bro's this side, he was whipped. I chuckled internally at that thought. The event was almost on its end. Sitting at the made up bar, I saw Lia saying her goodbye's to everyone, I made my way to follow her. As she stepped on the road looking for a cab, I pretended to pass by her as if I was on my way to my place.

"Hey Lia, are you waiting for Liam." I questioned, fully aware that he had left earlier.

She flinched a bit by my sudden appearance, her eyes lingering on my face for a bit. My look was definitely making an effect on her.

"No... I...I am waiting for a cab." She stuttered, not looking in my eyes.

"Cab?" I asked furrowing.

"Ya Liam had to leave early to catch a flight. He is traveling for work." She explained.

"Ohh!" that's a pleasant news. With Liam gone, I can try my luck.
"Come, I will drop you" I suggested.

"No it's ok I will manage.." she refused straight away.

"Come on Lia." I insisted, gesturing towards my car parked at my house. We walked until there, and I opened the door for her. I know she was reluctant but got inside. We sat in silence through the distance. Her house was not much far from ours.

I walked her till the door, hoping that she will invite me inside, but...

"Thanks Richard. Good night." I don't like her calling me Richard. It's Richie for her. She unlocked the door and went inside, closing the door. What do I do to go in and talk to her? My time was running out. That door was about to get close

"Lia" I called out. She opened the door a bit and peeked.

"Can I have water, please."?
