I knew I had to get the others ASAP, but I also needed to see something. I went up to the body. They appeared to have died from blunt force trauma to the head. Their fingers were in the victory position, making it seem like they got what they wanted. I had gotten the information I needed. Before I turned around, however, I saw a rifle on the ground. The butt of the gun was covered in blood.
I ran out of the hallway, to see Rei, on the floor and in tears. "Rei! I'm sorry about what happened, but don't you wanna find out who did this to them?" He looked up at me, wiping the tears from his eyes and nodding. "Then get up, and go investigate the body! It's right down the hall from where we are now, so go see if you can find anything!" Rei nodded. "Yes sir!" He ran down the hall, and I continued to the Cafeteria. Hadosan was in there, along with Cole and Linelle. "Guys! Hurry! Daz is dead! We need to start investigating!" Linelle spat out her drink, and Cole jumped out of his chair. "Daz? But how? I saw them leave with you, Rei, and Hadosan. Shouldn't they have been safe?" I shook my head. "I don't know, but we've gotta hurry before Monokuma calls the body discovery!"
Hadosan was already down the hall by the time we got out of the Cafeteria. We ran as fast as we could down the hall, but Alex, Millie, and Ky were all there by the time we got to the body. Monokuma came over the loudspeaker. "Body number 2 has been discovered! You have 3 hours to investigate, and then time for the class trial!" We all stood there in shock as we let those words sink in. Body number 2. That meant that one of our "friends" had killed Daz. And it was our job to find out who.
I looked closer at the body, only to realize, that there were no bullet wounds on the body, so they couldn't have been shot. Rei tapped my back. "Let me guess. You saw the gun too." I nodded. "I knew it. See, that gun was an assault rifle with a silencer. I turned the body over, and saw several bullet wounds in their back. My eyes widened. A... silencer? So maybe Daz was shot! "Thanks, Rei. I needed that info. Maybe with this, we can-" Monokuma's voice cut me off. "3 hours is up! Report to the elevator to be lowered to the trial room!" I proceeded to the trial room in silence with Rei right behind me. I'm sorry, Daz. I guarantee you this though. We will find out who killed you.
