Damian grew worried when Sasha or Carmella mentioned that they also hadn't heard from you in a few days, the three of them always made sure to call in and check in with you every day since the loss of your mom but now they were worried about you. Thankful for a day off, Damian decided to go check on you for himself. You sat there in the middle of your mother's room, tear-filled eyes, lips quivering at the sight of your mother in some pictures, another reminder she wasn't here. It had been a few weeks since she unexpectedly passed and you were too depressed to do anything, it seemed the simplest task like washing a dish was so hard or you were exhausted from crying that it seemed pointless to even try.
"You should be here!" You screamed at the photo of your mom before launching the photo frame into the wall, listening to it shattered as you broke down in tears.
Damian left out a semi sigh of relief when he saw your car in the driveway and made his way up the stairs before he unlocked the door letting himself in. Damian took notice of how cluttered the place was before he heard your cries.
"Amour?" He called out until found you in your mother's room with your head tucked in your knees as you cried.
He gently kicked his shoes off before he reached down picking up the photos on the floor and moving them so they didn't get ruined. He gently kneeled in front of you slowly pulling your apart, he briefly met your bloodshot eyes before you threw your arms around him which made him enlope you in possibly the tightest bear hug he's ever given you.
"It's okay angel, I've got you." He said gently rubbing your back as you cried into his shirt.
After a few minutes, your breathing went back to normal and your cries died down, he figured you were exhausted and probably wanted to rest. He gently stood up keeping the grip he had on you and carrying you to your room and gently laying on the bed before covering you up.
"Get some rest sweetheart." He said gently kissing the top of your forehead before leaving the room.
While you rested, Damian decided to help you out around the house by cleaning up and doing what he could to make things easier on you, even cooking dinner for the both of you for when you woke up.
You woke up and were confused at the first about where you were, then you remembered that your boyfriend Damian carrying you to bed. You rubbed your eyes and made your way downstairs taking notice of how clean the place looked before walking into the kitchen and seeing Damian pulling something out of the oven.
"What's all this?" I asked,
"Dinner...I thought you might be hungry when you woke up, and I cleaned up around here a bit for you." He said walking over and setting a plate in front of you.
"Oh...thank you, babe...you didn't have to do that." I said taking a seat at the table as he brought his plate over and sat next to you.
"I know I didn't but I want to help you out....that's what I'm here angel to help you when you the world feels too much for those little shoulders." He said squeezing your hand.
"I'm sorry for worrying you and the girls....it's just that she left everything became ten times harder than usually is and something simple as answering a message is hard....like I know I needed help but I couldn't get the words out.." You said with tears sliding down your face.
"Hey..hey it's okay baby, none of us are mad at you, we understand what your going through, especially me. You worried me is all and talking to you is one of the highlights of my day, and when you didn't it scared me." He said wrapping his arms around you.
"Thank you. I truly don't know what I did to deserve you in my life." I said quietly placing a kiss on his neck.
"I ask myself the same thing angel. I love you more than you can ever imagine." He said placing a kiss on your lips.
"I love you too." I said.
