"Okay, that's the third time you've thrown up this morning. Maybe we should take you to the hospital." Pat said as you rinsed out your mouth.
"No baby, I'm sure it's some bug I caught on our flight. I promise if I'm not better by tomorrow then I'll go, okay?" You said wrapping your arms around him.
"Okay I'm just worried about you, can't have anything happening to you." He said placing a kiss on your lips.
Once he left for the studio, you called your best friend and explained your situation to which you were expecting her to say that you might be pregnant and you swore you were gonna faint after that. About ten minutes later you hear your front door open followed by her voice.
"Look I know it's crazy to think about, but you're displaying a lot of the symptoms that I had before I found out I was pregnant with Chole."She said setting the CVS bag on your bed as you looked through your phone and realized that you missed your period.
"You might be right, I'm two weeks late." You said looking at her with wide eyes.
"Okay relax, we are gonna take these, and depending on what they say then we will proceed accordingly." She said walking into the bathroom with you.
After peeing on all three of them and setting a two-minute timer, which didn't help your anxiety any as you thought about what this meant for you and Pat, and oh god how would he even react, you two had briefly discussed kids but always said you would wait until you were more settled.
"You look." You said to your friend as she turned the tests over.
"Well, it looks like Chole is gonna have a cousin in nine months." She said making you nearly faint.
"Easy girl, we are gonna go see my doctor who is top secret about these things to confirm it's true before you start stressing." She said wrapping an arm around you while you got your shoes on.
You were a nervous wreck while waiting for the nurse, your friend only squeezed your hand, in turn, to remind you it was going to be okay. A few minutes later, the nurse walks in and explains the procedure, and steps out so you can change.
"Oh, how the roles have changed." Your friend says laughing remembering how nearly five years ago it was her in this position.
"So there is a heartbeat in there, I'm thinking maybe you are about 4-8 weeks along. After I print out these sonogram pictures, I will give you some resources and also get set up with a normal doctor here." She said as you nodded.
"Are you okay?" Your friend asked as you nodded.
"Yeah just nervous to tell him." You said looking at her.
"Knowing Pat I think he'll be happy but on the off chance that he isn't you've got me to help you." She said squeezing your hand.
After talking with the nurse, she gave the pictures, and lets you get your next appointment set up. You and your friend came up with this cute idea on how to break the news to Pat. You two were finishing up the idea, you heard Pat walk through the door.
"Best friend, I didn't expect to see you today." He said hugging her.
"Well, a lot of things are unexpected lately." She said making you glare at her as she bid you two goodbye.
"Hi amour, glad to see you and moving." He said wrapping his arms around you and pressing a kiss on your lips.
"Hi my love, I got you something but you may want to sit down to open it." You said handing him the box.
"Aww babe, you didn't have to get me anything." He said taking a seat on one of the chairs and starting to open the box as you watched the shock hit his face once he picked up the sonogram.
"I-I'm gonna be a dad?" He asked looking up at you.
"Yes, you are...I didn't realize that I had missed my period given everything but I'm about 4-8 weeks along and I know we said we wouldn't have any kids until we were..." You were saying until you felt him wrap his arms around you.
"Are you kidding?! This is the best gift I could ask for!" He said making the tears slide down your face and a huge weight lifted off of your shoulders.
"Really?" You asked him.
"Really. There is nothing I wanted in this world than to have a baby with you." He said pressing a bunch of kisses on your face and one finally on your lips.
"I love you Amour." You said.
"I love you both, more." He said pressing a kiss on your lips and one on your stomach making you giggle at him.
