It definitely didn't take people long enough to figure out that something was up with you and Damian, everytime he was brought up in conversations or interviews you either changed the subject or gave one-word answers, you avoided plans if you knew he was gonna be there leaving people to try and figure out what was going on with you and Damian. The one person who was confused the most about the sudden changed of behavior was Damian and he was determined to get some answers.
"Rhea do you know why Yas stopped talking to me?" He asked making Rhea roll her eyes at him.
"You truly have no idea, do you mate?" Rhea asked.
"No I don't, all I know is that ever since she found that me and Eva were dating, she iced me out." He said.
"Look Yas is my friend which is why I can't tell you a lot without breaking our friendship code. But you know me and Liv had spent the whole week encouraging her to admit her true feelings for you and that night she was going to until Eva came up and spilled the truth about you guys." She said making Damian sigh.
"The only reason I had said yes to Eva was that I didn't think Yas felt the same way about me." He said.
"Well, now she's convinced that you never liked her like that and that she misread all the times you flirted with her." She said.
"That's not true, I love her more than anything...I was scared...she's the first girl I've liked and truly saw a future with, in a long time." He said instantly regretting even taking Eva out.
"Since you are both my friends and I'm not promising anything but I will see if I can't convince her to talk to you at least." Rhea said.
Over the next few days, Rhea and Liv both desperately tried to persuade you to at least sit-down and hear Damian out but you didn't have it. You weren't ready to see or talk to Damian yet...it still hurt too much to think that you were on the brink of telling him how you feel and then have it snatched away in an instant.
"We have to come up with a plan because she's not gonna go talk to him willingly." Liv said as her and Rhea grabbed dinner for you guys.
"I know. Give me a day or two to work it out and I will fill you in." Rhea said as Liv nodded.
A few days later, you were on your way to meet Liv at her locker to bring her phone charger since she left it at the hotel. You knocked on the door and didn't hear anything so you walked in confused as to where she was until you saw him.
"Oh hell no." You said once you saw Damian standing there.
"Yasmine, please...I just want to talk." He said making you roll your eyes as you tried to open the door only to find it locked.
"Liv! Please let me out." You said.
"Sorry babe this is for your own good." Liv said from outside the door making you lean your head against the door.
"Yasmine." He said.
"Please leave me alone." You said on the verge of tears, still not looking up at him.
"Yas I just want to make this right...please just talk to me." He said placing a hand on your shoulder.
"Talk to you?! You want to make this right?" You said turning around and facing him.
"Do you know stupid I felt when I came up to you about to confess how I truly felt after months of denying those said feelings only to find out, you are dating the one person in this whole world who I truly dislike?" You said slightly pushing him which didn't really do anything.
"But what hurts worst is that after all the times you flirted with me and I had our friends and coworkers telling me that I should give you a chance, I finally worked up the courage to do so and you're already moved on to someone else." You said as the tears fell down your face.
"Yas...I made a horrible and rash decision to go out with her because I was scared of being rejected by you." He said.
"You what?" You asked stunned at his confession.
"Sweetheart you thought you felt stupid? That's the way I felt every time I thought about possibly having feelings for me in return, you are the first girl in a long time that I've even thought about having a future with." He said making you look up at him.
"You mean that?" You ask.
"I mean it.... and I know it's a long shot but if you would be willing to give me a chance I would love to opportunity to show it to you." He said.
"What about Eva?" You asked confused.
"What about her? I broke up with her the second I realized you were avoiding me because I would rather have you in my life than her." He said.
