Chapter Three

Harmony's POV

"Holy mother of crap! Run!"

We ran. Frantic.Helpless. Desperate to get away from the beast that was chasing us. We know all too well that if it caught us we were dead meat.

Meat. Hilarious, Harmony.Hilarious.

I heard it again. It was catching up on us.

We darted into the tree line, the branches of tree drawn out like canopy in the sky, shading what little traces of light the full moon had to give and from the thick cloud threatening to cover it. I faintly hear a trail of curses coming from our mouths but we were all to pre-occupied to bother knowing what 'crumbs of fuck' meant as what S has been uttering loudly.

"Faster!" I urged.

We leaped over dead log, dodged low hanging branches. Almost thankful for the uneven land that increased our bodies' momentum.

This doesn't make sense. It was justgonna catch up on us sooner or later.

' Grrr!'

Okay, make that sooner rather than later.

It was fast. Like a flash of lightning, it leaped over our heads and was now in front of us. Blearing its dangerously sharp teeth, stumping its paws. It was angry... or hungry. Neither of both isn't exactly good.

"Good Doggy." I have to hold to something to keep my balance. A slant surface wasn't really a good place for sudden halt. I had my hands on a dead tree branch while my heels are scrapping the ground, when I heard my brother spoke.

"Hey...Harm?" Cole said; taking a step closer to me, hands gripping my shirt that I stole from Hunter closet (yes, I like their wardrobe that much.)

"What're we gonna do? I don't want to die here, you know?"

"You're not supposed to be here in the first place."

Yup, that was us, having a nice little chit-chat in front of a very angry beast.

"Stop the two of you! That's not helping! I'm trying to think here." S exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air exasperatedly. "I have a plan."

"I'm all ears." Cole and I chorused. We glared at each other and almost at the same time look away.

"Okay. Here it is..."

He sighed heavily, like his in pain or something. It had me unconsciously run my eyes on his body, searching for any sign of damage that might have caused my brothers voice to tremble. I swear if he was hurt, I wouldn't know what I was gonna do. If any of them got hurt...

I release a sigh of relief when I didn't found anything. But, that was only for a while when I realized I know what his plan is before he even spill the beans.

"Wait, what? No! are you kidding me? Hell no!"

The idiot's going to make himself killed.

"What?"

"We're not splitting up, genius. You knew damn well that's not a good idea."

"Split up? That's your plan? Well, piss off, man. We're not doing that." Cole said.

S sighed again, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was trying to think.

"Right. Any better idea, then, genius?" he said, quoting the last word with irritation. I was just about to speak when he cut me off. "That's right. You. Don't." he said each word through greeted teeth in a no nonsense 'I'm serious so don't argue with me or I'll skin you off with my nail cutter' kind of way.
