I woke up in my bed with the taste of blood in my mouth

Then it all came back to me from uncle talking to me and to when I slipped
Getting up and checking in the mirror I saw that my lip had swollen 'jeeze Zuko's going to have a fit' was my thought

Seeing that the cut was directly on the bottom lip and how noticable it was "He's going to think it was a soldier that hit me" I mumble walking out of my room and too the dining hall

As soon as Zuko saw me his smile faided and I could tell he was on a war parth

"What happened?" He snapped grabbing my bottom jaw and pulling me close to him

We we're so close if I leaned in a little bit our lips would touch

"I fell over my own feet" I mumble as I felt my lips brush against his

"ZUZU!" Yelled a femails voice from the entrance and I felt my heart sink

"Sister your here!?" He yelled a bit surpried and I felt my heart come up abit then another girl came in and that's when it sank further

"M-Mai" Zuko blushed and I knew he had feelings for her

"Please Excuse me" I looked at Zuko and walked out to the deck where I found soldiers' practicing "Ahem may I join" I asked and they took off their helmets

"Of coarse" a women said excited for another to join them "we won't go soft on you it's push to the limits' but what element will you bend?"

"Fire" I smiled a wicked grin

"Very well" they all bowed to each other and begun

It was only me and a male soldier bending against each other

"WOAH! GO ELEMENT!" yelled a heap of soldiers together

Taking this agressive soldier only with the use of my water bending

"HEY NO FAIR!" he yelled getting up

"YOU WEREN'T GOING TO STOP TILL YOU KILLED ME YOU ARE UNFIT AS A SOLDIER YOH HAVE A MENTAL PROBLEM YOU ARE HERE BY DISSMISSED BEFORE I KICK YOUR ASS OVER BOARD SO YOU CAN SWIM TO OUR NEXT STOP!" I yelled picking the guy up by his soaked uniform and pushing him to the stairs

"YOU ROCKED ELEMENT HOW DID YOU DO THAT DOUBLE BENDING?" Screamed the woman from before

"Accturley I can triple bend I'll show you when we dock next" I laughed Linking arms with her

"Your bending skills' are amazing"

"Thank you I was a teacher back home" I cringed when I said 'home'

"This is home now ok" she smiled at me

"Ari" she smiled thrusting her hand out for me to shake

"Hi Ari I'm Element" I smiled at her shaking it

"We should head to lunch" she smiled and opened the door but when I walked in I saw that Mai woman in the seat next to him holding his hand "Element I'm so sorry" she placed a hand on my shoulder

"Don't worry I should have known he'd dump me as soon as someone he used to go out with turned up.. but as long as he's happy" I walked to the back of the room to a spare seat and sat down looking at the table
