Did I say I can do it? I lied. I absolutely can't. Half an hour in, I already want to get out here.

Where the hell is Jude when I need her. All I have done until now is curtsy, nod, stand in different groups and now about topics I don't have a clue about.

I haven't seen the meanies yet...Hell atleast they are entertaining in a rude way.

Just as I was about to leave for the bar, everyone went quiet when an announcement was made.

"King Arthur is entering the ball room"

Everyone bowed down and welcome my father. Soon I knew I had to go near the podium style stage for The Speech the king is expected to say.

After finishing the speech, my father invited brother and me on stage to welcome everyone for their stay.

Anthony started speaking "Welcome everyone, I hope you all enjoy your stay here and explore our kingdom to your heart's extent."
The meanies' girls were all applauding loudly for Anthony. Of course they would make themselves noticed for Anthony.

Then it was my turn "Umm yea What Anthony said..and..enjoy everyone"

Eveyone laughed. Yeah, we were not living in a kingdom where no one could take jokes. It was the 21st century afterall.

He laughed too or rather smirked. Jason. Sometimes I just wanted to smash his face with my li....No!...with my... fist. Yes, my fist!

Then I merged into the crowd and greeted eveyone....Again. There were more people present now than before. Around 400. Way to go Dad!

Someone tapped shoulder. "Hey sweetie, How are you doing? Loved the speech up there."

Darla. Remember the Meanies? Well, she is the real leader of them.

"Darla darling. Oh what a delight it is to see you."

No it is absolutely not.

Wait did I just speak it up loud...no...or..someone else did!

"No it is absolutely not, This is what you were thinking right?" said Carlo

"Oh come on Carlo, you know I adore her" I smirked.

"Sure you do, Now come on give me a hug"

Carlo, my only friend other than Jude who was around my age.

I hugged him. "Hey buddy, how you been doing?"

"As you can see I am as hot as ever."

"Yea, you wish" He snickered.

"Oh how adorbs it is to see you two catch up. Isn't it Jason?"

Jason... When did he come here!? I guess when I as looking at Carlo.

I turned to see Darla's hand on Jason's chest and Jason's eyes on me.

He was wearing a three piece fitted black tuxedo looking breathtaking.

Oh come on guys even though he's from the rival kingdom...doesn't really like me....is my sorta nemesis, Even I can't deny that he is good looking and he even has a dimple! God really is cruel but he balances things.

Thats why with handsome looks he gave Jason a shitty personality.

"Yea surely, are you guys sure Darla and I aren't disturbing you two BESTIES?" He said air quoting the word besties.

"Yea actua-" Carlo said

"No, why would yo-" I said

We both looked at each other and laughed.

"So compatible" Jason said with a disgusted expression.

And Darla laughed of course being the pick me girl she is.

"Well as much delightful as it has been I have to take your leave ladies and Jason, always a pleasure." Carlo said

"Obviously my best bud" Jason said

They weren't best buds at all, or rather they were in the past. Why they aren't anymore I don't know and neither do they tell me so might as well let it go.

"Would you like to come with me Adora?"

"No actu-"

"I will accompany you Carlo. I was gonna go that way anyway." Darla said

"Well okay come. See you guys later." Carlo said

"Finish your sentence."

"Huh what?" I said having no idea what he meant.

"Finish what you were saying before Darla cut in."

Oh. "I was just saying that Actually I was heading towards the bar."

"Come along. I guess it wouldn't hurt being 5 minutes in your presence but only if you shut your mouth."

Okurrr...I guess it was a compliment coming from him and it wouldn't hurt since he was going in the same way. Right? Of course.
