"How often do I have to tell you sister, you are not coming to that party!" Damon demanded angrily.
"Why on earth do you always get to have fun but I need to stay back?"
"Because I know for a fact that you will cause trouble and chaos and I really do not need this right now."
"Fine." You agreed. At least you pretended to agree. There was no way in hell that you'd miss an event like that and especially not after Damon just killed your latest love interest. He wasn't wrong though, causing trouble and chaos was your specialty.
"Fine? You just agree?" He asked leery. "Where's my sister and what did you do to her?"
"Do you wanna push it or leave me alone now?"
He chuckled in disbelief but at least he left your room. You had about one hour left before they'd leave so you decided to look for a dress.
Normally you would have wanted to wear one of your dresses from your times as a human but your old home turned into a ruin years ago. After Stefan had killed your father, no one stayed to take care of it so you had no idea what happened to your stuff. You walked over to your closet and picked out a black, long off- the shoulder dress. It was your favorite dress because it hugged your body in all the right places and it had a slit to show off your gorgeous legs.
You could hear them arguing downstairs while you got ready but you didn't bother to barge in. All you needed to hear was the name "Elena" to decide that it wasn't worth trying. She was all they talked about these days, just like in 1864 with Katherine. When they weren't talking about Elena they were talking about killing Klaus which annoyed you even more since you kind of liked him. He was an asshole and he brought Ripper Stefan back but he also had this charming and funny side. In fact, you kind of liked all of the Mikaelsons, but you could never admit that to your brothers. Elijah had always been kind to you, no matter your brothers' most recent plot against his family. And then there was Rebekah. She could be a bitch sometimes but you grew to like that about her pretty soon. She reminded you of yourself sometimes, how she always got demanded around by her brothers just like you did and yet she seemed so strong and independent.
You got ready as soon as they left. You wanted to turn heads tonight, so you focused on golden eyeshadow, black eyeliner and dark red lipstick. You looked amazing, just as planned. Normally, you weren't a big fan of dances but this dance basically screamed entertainment and it was definitely a plus that Damon didn't want you there.
When you arrived, the Party was already at full blast. You were about to get in when someone came up from behind, calling your name.
"(Y/N)? I didn't know that you were coming. Damon said you'd stay home." The brunette girl said.
"I could say the same thing about you, Elena." You smirked. "But I figured that you wouldn't listen to him, that's what I like about you."
She smiled, held out her arm and said: "Shall we?"
You took it and you two walked inside. The lobby was huge. In the middle of it was a big and majestic staircase, decorated with beautiful lights. Waiters were walking around offering people Champaign and snacks. A nice girl at the door took your jackets and wished you a lot of fun.
You held in for a second when you could hear Damon and Mayor Lookwood talking between the crowd. They weren't alone though, there was someone with them, you couldn't see his face but his voice was steady and sweet. You tried listening to their conversation but Damon spotted you two immediately.
"You're not supposed to be here. Both of you.". He said to Elena before he turned to you. "I knew this was too easy, should've locked you in the basement."
