TWO,
helping others

Itadori arrived at a hospital, where his grandfather currently resides. Although it's a nice day outside not to be visiting a place where one is filled with sadness.

"I told you not to come and stop buying flowers to bring with you all the time."

Itadori sets the flowers he got earlier from a flower shop, although he always knew his grandfather hates flowers being brought to him by him, he can't just help it. He thinks it's a way to show love to a person you care about.

"You always give me that and besides, these aren't for you. They're for the nurse." Itadori lies.

"All the more reason not to, you fool! And what about your club? Go to your club."

"It ends before five pm, I have time."

". . . Good. Listen to me, since I got free time too."

  "Not interested."

"Just listen. There's something I wanted to tell you before I go. It's about your parents."

"Told you I'm not interested. Can you stop trying to act cool before you die?"

Itadori's grandfather had an annoyed look on his face. It is nothing new that his own grandson doesn't want to hear anything important, but this time he must tell everything he must know.

"A man wants to go out in style! Don't you get it?"

The old man sighs then rolls over to his side and closes his eyes, "Yuji."

"Yeah?"

"You're a strong kid, so help others. It doesn't have to be everyone. Just whenever you can. You may feel lost, but don't expect gratitude. Just help them. When it's your time to go, make sure you're surrounded by others, maybe have tons of friends or maybe even a girlfriend. . . just don't end up like me."

Silence fell upon the room, the pink-haired boy looked worried as his grandfather was done talking, "Grandpa?"

Itadori's grandfather did not answer, indicating that his grandpa has passed on. The boy quickly ran to the hospital phone dialing the nurses.

"Yes? How may I help you?"

Itadori did not answer as he was holding back tears, knowing that his loved one is gone.

"Hello? Itadori?"

"My grandpa is . . . dead."

It was soon enough that Itadori's grandfather was being wheeled out of the hospital room, the boy packs his belongings and then went to the reception office to fill out forms.

"Okay. That's all should be it for the documents."

"Thanks for everything."

"Are you sure you're okay?"

Itadori thinks for a minute, trying to process what just happened within the past hour. He does not know what to feel or to think. "Well, it's kind of my first time experiencing this so it hasn't really sunk in yet. . . but my grandpa would be mad if I just moped around so I'll just have to laugh while I roast him."

"How can you say that!?" The nurse exclaims.

"We found you!"

Itadori stops what he's doing and turns around to see two people who are around his age, standing a distance from him.

"Yuji Itadori? Correct?" Megumi was the first to question.

"Uh, yes?"

"Hi there! I'm Akane! And this person here is Fushiguro, we are from Jujutsu High. We are wondering if we can talk to you for a moment?"

All three moved to a secluded area for them to talk, important to know where the missing cursed object is at.

"Well um. . . I'm kind of in mourning right now. . ."

"Sorry, but there isn't time. The cursed object you have is extremely dangerous. Hand it over it over now."

Itadori looked confused as ever but Megumi pulled out his phone and showed the picture of the cursed object to the pink-haired boy.

"This."

"Oh yea! I found it."

Akane eyes lit up as she has been anticipating going back to her own room and getting real goodnight's sleep. "Really? Well give it then."

"Well you see, someone I know has taken a liking to it but what do you guys mean dangerous?"

"The average number of unexplained deaths and missing persons exceeds tens of thousands a year on average. The result of negative energy that flows out of people is a result of a curse."

"A curse?"

"Look it doesn't matter if you believe it or not but places where crowds gather like schools or hospitals are susceptible to receiving that kind of energy. Pain, regret, humiliation. . . the more people dwell on such bad memories. . . the more these kinds of places become receptive to those feelings. For that reason, a cursed object is often found at such places as a talisman hence the object you found is such an item."

"But then isn't that a good thing? How come it's dangerous?"

"I can see how a talisman sounds harmless but the more evil placed on a cursed object, the more it deflects other curses. Using poison to deflect them. After many years, the seal starts to weaken and the talisman changes form then attracts curses and feeds on them."

"What Fushiguro is trying to say is that the one placed at your school is extremely dangerous and is classified as a special grade." Akane says.

Megumi put his hand out, "Hand it over before people start to die."

"I don't mind but you better explain this to someone else." Itadori tosses a small box to Megumi and then opens it.

"Wait, it's empty! We were just following the box?"

"Just as I thought, we are not going back." Akane mumbles and sighs in defeat.

Itadori walks off but Fushiguro grabbed Itadori's arm, "WHERE IS IT?!"

"Like I said someone else has it!"

Itadori remembers something about what the occult club will do later on, he had a horrified face.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Well, they mentioned about removing the talisman from it tonight as the school."

Both Megumi's and Akane's faces were in utter shock, not knowing what might happen.

"Is that bad?"

"Not just bad. . . they'll die!"
