[Two Weeks Later]

She had the plan together, now... Just needed someone to come with her. She picked up her phone, not seeing this as important enough to use the serum connection.

Ava, texting: Hey, Nick? Could you come to my office a bit? Need to talk to you.

Nick, texting: Give me a bit.

Ava: Okay.

After about five minutes, Nick came in. He leaned against the door frame, looking at Ava warily.

Nick: What's up?

Ava grabbed a piece of paper, looking at it with a strange smile.

Ava: I have an idea of how to get back at Nova.

Nick shifted, already tense.

Nick, cautious: What do you mean?

Ava got a creepy, psychotic grin on her face.

Ava: She stole from us, so... We steal her.

Nick was confused for a moment, then realized what Ava meant.

Nick: We're not killing her!

Ava sighed disappointedly.

Ava: I figured you would say that. And, I came up with Plan B, just in case.

She put her hands on the desk, lightly leaning on them.

Ava: We go and blast her to exhaustion, and force her to stop attacking us.

Nick looked at her, eyes flickering over her face. He tapped into her mind, trying to remain undetected.

Nick, scolding: You're lying. You just want any kind of revenge you can get! And revenge isn't going to solve this.

Ava, coyly: You think so?

Nick: Yes. This isn't what Ben would've wanted!

Her head snapped towards him, eyes red and glaring.

Ava, coldly: Which Ben? Serum Ben? Or the real Ben?

Nick gripped her upper arms, trying to make her see reason.

Nick: Ava, this isn't you.

She pulled away from him, facing the wall. Ava was getting frustrated. He wasn't understanding or letting her do what she needed to do. She spun around to face him.

Ava, frustrated: You don't control me, Nick!

Nick narrowed his eyes.

Nick, coldly: You're right. I don't. And I'm not going to come with you, to watch you get yourself killed. Just so you can... Get your revenge. Good luck, Ava.

Without another word, he turned and left, slamming the door behind him. Ava sighed and began to gather up the stuff she would need. If Nova killed her, which she doubted, then at least Ava would have her satisfaction. She crammed everything into her backpack, slung it over her shoulder, and rushed out of her office.

Ava, muttering: I would think he, of all people, would understand. But, since he doesn't, guess that means he's not worthy of being my boyfriend.

She climbed into the Mountaineer and pulled out. Nova was going to pay dearly for this.

[Road to Syntec]

Ava passed a car, wanting to get to Syntec as fast as possible. As she went to turn onto the road to get back into Syntec, a white Subaru cut her off.

Ava, angry: Hey! Jackass.

She growled and looked for a place to turn around.

Ava: Ah, here we go.

She pulled into an abandoned parking lot and began to turn around. Only to be cut off by a black car. She went to drive around it, when the Subaru came back, blocking her. Then a Tesla pulled up in front of her. That's when she realized.

Ava, furious: Mother FUCKER!!

She got out of her Mountaineer and stormed over to the black car. Nick got out of the driver's side and confronted her first.

Ava, screaming: Really?! I thought I could trust you?!

Nick looked down into her eyes, red from the fury. His slowly shifted to green.

Nick, lowly: Ava. You know why I did this if you would get your head out of your ass.

Matt came up behind Ava, pinning her arms to her side.

Ava, dangerously: Let go.

She was surprised by the answer.

Everyone: No.

She blinked. Then started wrapping a shield around her, pushing it against Matt's arms. Forcing him to let her go.

Ava: You can't stop me.

Sam, dangerously: Yes, we can.

Nick wrapped an antidote rope around Ava's waist, holding her fast.

Nick: Ava, I think you sometimes forget just how powerful the rest of us are.

She looked at him, hate and hurt in her eyes.

Ava, lowly: I hate you.
